Worst experience imaginable. The Managing Partner (who apparently falsely claimed to have been recruited away from Killian Richter by Joseph Ramos himself to open a GJ office as managing partner) is Nick Mayle. The Denver office recruited me heavily upon seeing five gruesome and serious wounds from a pack of 3 pit bull mix dogs resulting in massive pain and 83 stitches - seeing all the $$$ associated with a big insurance claim. He even made a statement about the other attorney I was interested in using wanting to come to his Ramos office, making it seem like it would eventually be a twofer at his firm (but, by the way, keep that information confidential) and that that attorney would be leaving that other firm, ostensibly leaving me in the lurch were I to choose them. Pretty shady and sneaky. It turned out that trying to find insurance didn't suit the man who drives two luxury vehicles around town with the famous EKG squiggles: a high dollar Jeep contraption and a low riding fancy convertible --- all show, no substance. The property owner was never sent photos of the injuries so she had no idea of the seriousness of the request to provide insurance information. On top of that, he is both rude and arrogant and without a heart (never asking how I was) and the contract itself presented was off by 20 years on my birth date. From the start, that should have been the first clue that a pitch perfect competence and diligence were non existent. Once the contract was signed, the research was slow and incomplete, neither good news when the supposed managing partner offered to take the case personally. From day one, I supplied a good handful of researched helpful tips to get the ball rolling having admitted at the outset that I am intense/adhd and was 100% successful in achieving the full claim of a car wreck directly from the insurance company 8 years prior. I was far more thorough (not necessarily a plus for a law office with from a client, admittedly) - and the one factor that he instigated with key, critical information that I could provide from his work product to aid in the criminal prosecution he wrote in a s[poradic] email (none of which had answers to questions I posed) was withheld with this quote: I won't bother you with the details. It was many weeks later when he resigned from the case after I left a message asking if he really cared about me personally as a client (which they advertise heavily) which ostensibly gave him the trivial but perfect excuse to withdraw.
Good riddance, as they say: he never had any suggestions for the medical side of all my injuries (which is the sole reason I contracted with them because Joseph Ramos is a brilliant marketing guy claiming medical and legal advice all rolled into one and medical advice was non existent in my case.) I had to figure out everything on my own with no interest on the part of the firm to be proactive and actually give counsel. False advertising for the one thing which seems to draw clients as their biggest selling factor in procuring clients. Rumor has it that Mr. Ramos doesn't practice medicine or law - but achieved a lot from a third career in marketing. I have had the opportunity twice already to steer someone to a law firm. I have firmly steered both parties away from Ramos Law GJ. He does employ a kind law student who offered to verify something he transcribed for the criminal court case: Instead, when Nick Mayle got wind of that, he falsely accused me of requesting the help that was voluntarily offered and I got a nasty cease and desist letter from Mayle demanding that I never contact that person (again, to whom no request was made) or his firm again. Pathetic and clearly only in law for the vast amount of money he clearly settles for with insurance companies. Personal Injury law is important - but he is the perfect example and the dictionary model of why PI lawyers have a negative reputation for ambulance chasing.
Excellent service, timeliness, and communication. Everything was always very clear, transparent, and efficient. I'm very satisfied with the outcome of my case, thank you so much!
Our case might have been a little out of their wheelhouse, but they were professional, attentive, easy to work with, and compassionate. We were represented by Nick Mayle and Dan Robinson in Grand Junction, CO. They have our gratitude and loyalty. Ramos Law will be the first call we make if we are in an accident.

I engaged with Ramos Law after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision. There’s nothing more overwhelming than trying to cope with pain and medical recovery, while juggling insurance claims, financial impacts and just life in general after a traumatic event of that nature. From the moment I came to them for help, I knew I was in the right hands. Everyone who assisted in handling my case from the start was kind, helpful and extremely passionate about the work they do. As the case approached litigation, Joe and Cassie were unbelievably supportive, from all of the prompt communication, to handling paperwork, their stellar responsiveness and how quickly the ball started to move forward to resolve this matter for me. Joe Fredenburg is one of the most genuine and compassionate litigation attorneys I have ever worked with. Very well-versed in his field and has done nothing but advocate for me and help to make decisions that are always in my best interest. I highly recommend Joe and the entire firm for their professionalism, expertise and dedication to their clients. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, and continue to do.

I am absolutely blown away by the care received and the expertise of this law firm. I had the pleasure of working with attorney Joseph Fredenburg and his legal assistant Cassie. Joseph is incredibly knowledgeable, transparent, and compassionate in his care for clients. I was able to send emails, texts, and leave voicemails for Joseph and he was able to reply back most commonly within 24 hours. He updated me every step of the way and outlined next steps clearly. Upon intake, I was able to give all of my information while at the collision center and was reassured that they would be able to help me throughout the process. The connections and medical care that is provided through this firms’ lien is also phenomenal. Testing, referrals, and treatments were all done quickly, thoroughly, and efficiently. I would highly recommend this firm but specifically Joseph for any personal injury claims.
I am so happy and honored to give a recommendation for Ramos Law. The lawyer we worked with was Brian Calandra and he did his firm proud. It was a difficult and sad settlement case involving the untimely death of my brother. Brian was professional, very communicative and kept us aware of everything that was happening every step of the way. He helped us understand what we could expect and to make sound decisions during the settlement process. I always felt like he was working for us and for our best interest. In addition to his professionalism and getting us a great settlement amount, he was sensitive and caring towards our family and understood fully how difficult a time we were going through. I recommend Brian and Ramos Law for your legals concerns.
From the very first time I met with Ramos Law, I was treated like someone they really cared about! Every visit, I was warmly greeted, offered a choice of condiments while I waited for my appointment. Which was never a long wait! And Mr Nick Mayle, treated me more like a friend as apposed to just another client! He was very patient with me when explaining my case. A true professional for sure! If your finding yourself needing legal help, Ramos Law would be my first choice!

I can’t say enough good things about Nick Mayle. He helped me get the results I needed for my finger loss. He is extremely professional and his communication was the best! It was awesome to see Nick have passion for what he does, it helped take the pressure off my shoulders. I’d like to reiterate that he went above and beyond and would highly recommend him to everyone. It was a pleasure dealing with you. Hopefully I will never have to use you again. lol!
I am deeply grateful for the care, kindness, and professionalism that Joseph and Cassie showed me throughout my case. From the very beginning, they treated me not just as a client, but as a person going through one of the hardest moments of my life—the loss of my mother. Joseph listened with genuine understanding and took on my case when others would not, guiding me with expertise and patience every step of the way.
Cassie was always attentive, compassionate, and reassuring, making sure I felt supported and informed no matter what. Their empathy and dedication went far beyond what I could have expected from a legal team. Because of their exceptional care, I felt truly heard, respected, and supported.
I am so thankful to Joseph and Cassie for their unwavering professionalism and kindness, and I will happily refer anyone in need to their law firm. They made a very difficult time in my life a little easier, and I will always remember the difference they made.

Nick Mayle and his team are great. They are very knowledgeable, patient and understanding. They helped me get something out of a bad situation where it looked like nothing could be done (thanks to terrible Denver PD not doing their jobs). Thank you again Nick and team at Grand Junction Ramos Law!

After my accident, I felt completely overwhelmed and in constant pain. From the first meeting at Ramos Law, I felt like they truly cared about my recovery, not just the case. Joseph Fredenburg and Skyler checked in on me constantly and handled all the insurance stress so I could focus on getting better. I’m so grateful for their kindness and professionalism would definitely recommend Joseph .

“It took two weeks for anyone to call me back. When someone finally did, they listened to my situation for maybe a minute, said they’d get back to me, and then called again just to say I didn’t have a case—without actually reviewing anything. It felt like a complete waste of time. If you’re a ‘small fish,’ they don’t seem to care.”

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear that this was how your interaction felt, especially when you were likely reaching out during a stressful time.

A two-week delay in response is not the level of service we aim to provide, and we understand how frustrating that must have been. We also never want anyone to feel dismissed or like their situation wasn’t given thoughtful consideration. Every person who contacts us deserves respect, clarity, and a proper explanation, regardless of the size or outcome of the case.

While not every matter meets the legal requirements for representation, we should always ensure that decision is communicated clearly and with care.

If you’re open to it, we would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your experience so we can address it internally and continue improving.
