One of the biggest participants in this battle that helped out big time. And I'm very thankful for her. Thank you Mrs. Michal.
It has been a pleasure working with Joshua Wohl. He has taken a no-nonsense approach to helping us with our contempt case. He eased our minds and was very attentive to our concerns. When it was time for trial, his preparation helped me to be at ease with testifying. As a result, we did get the resolution we were seeking. I will continue to use his services as needed with my separation agreement.
Michal was hired as the CFI (Child Famiy Investigator) in my case. The case was very highly contested, and involved dueling states (Colorado and California.) This was no small task as she had to sift through 7 months of prior motions, as well as two people who were both seeking to be the custodial parent (Father living in Colorado and Mother living in California.) There were also abuse allegations that needed to be investigated and taken into serious consideration. These allegations were against me, the father. There was also an absconding mother who never returned with my daughter. Every legal professional I spoke to consistently referred to my case as "extremely complex." Through her interview process and analysis, Michal was able to sift through numerous motions and statutes, evidence (emails, texts messages and video), collateral interviews of both myself and mother…all with one goal in mind: What is in the best interest of the child? She even traveled to California (where the mother was staying) to ascertain that living situation as well. . . . Michal understands how opposing mom and dad posture in cases like these, saying things to make themselves and their situation look and sound as good as it can. Knowing this, she does a good job of finding the TRUTH. She’ll do multiple interviews with the same person if necessary, and throw curveball questions meant to take people out of their comfort zone. Ultimately, this is all part of her unique and highly effective process...which was apparent in her concise and thorough report. Michal was also requested by mother to testify in my case. This is where she truly differentiates herself from the pack. The judge in my case said she found “Michal to be one of the most—if not THE most credible CFI she has had in her courtroom.” When questioned by counsel on her report findings, she was able to speak to the report she had written, and seamlessly elaborate on her findings with specific examples. Also, she was unwavering. She didn’t second guess herself. The judge referred and deferred to her written report several times in the final ruling. Michal is also a very accomplished woman (which was VERY apparent when she was asked about her credentials on the witness stand.) Her credentials only enhanced her credibility. . . . Without Michal, this case would have had several shades of grey, and may have had a completely different outcome. But, her years of experience as an educator, the work she does with victims of abuse, and her experience as a CFI made all the difference. I believe I was awarded the “custodial parent” of my daughter because Michal was objective, unbiased, thorough, and had one singular goal: The best interest of the Child. I would recommend her in any child custody case, no matter the circumstances.
