We hired attorney Mohammad Abuershaid for a case of false- allegations by ex-spouse, relying on his heavily advertised expertise. Based on our very troubling experience, we do not recommend him at all, also not for cases of CPS, Juvenile Dependency, Child Custody or needing Trial Advocacy. ( our review is being taken down repeatedly since Dec 2025 so we are posting again ) We believe critical evidence was not presented in court, which could have altered outcome, requests to introduce evidence were met w/resistance(see) we were repeatedly asked Not to discuss opposing party,attempts to clarify met w/agitation,courtroom approach appeared reserved & quiet,Trial lacking by ALL Trial Mohammad, Social-workers not cross-examined, testimonies of key professionals not sought; In absence of a Trial, false-allegations went Unchallenged & sustained.CPS cases rely on Evidence not arguments; case was lost at onset.We were Not informed of Any Settlement details or Implications or Custodial Rights. The case unfolded in a way that felt ALIGNED w/Social worker’s position rather than ours, which was devastating for us. We waited every min of everyday to have our child,only to later discover that actual Custody of our only child was Relinquished without our explicit consent at onset,undermining very purpose of retaining legal counsel.Jurisdiction hearing proceeded Uncontested & we did not know. Later a social-worker informed us that our case resulted in “SUSTAINED PETITION” so hiring him did not help; actually case became Worse. Despite this we were charged Big Flat Fee of $49,500 w/an hourly rate of $1250, needless to say his work did not reflect claims on his website for Parental Rights & Fighting Social-workers.We were charged this much for an hour worth of Undisclosed & Unfavorable settlement(behind our back) remainder of case was procedural not STRATEGIC,like timepass, to justify his billable hrs. We had no prior knowledge of CPS, felt taken advantage of, felt our Trust was not honored. We were not provided w/Any court-filed documents (except sw-reports) nor told about appeal. Transparency was Lacking throughout representation, decisions made WITHOUT our Informed Consent. He appeared to be deciding on his Own, and it appeared in a way that suited him. Not even one hour was spent in discussing any Strategic Steps(since there were none) We went to him for defense & felt he himself did not protect us, in a CPS court which is like Criminal court. CPS allegations automatically trigger CACI process; however we were told later Mohammad does not handle CACI, not at Retaining. By now we also became uncertain about Credibility of his online reviews, as many appeared self-fabricated, w/ identical stories(of “one lawyer left & another came in”(see) by interns or posted at exact-same-time by different supposed clients, or Bot-generated, hyper-inflated, virtual offices, this was our perception. Real-representation appeared not reflective of review-presentation. After Full fee was collected 2 more charges made to card,later reversed, but added to our concerns. After his representation ended midway,we did not get refund of unused fee. Since outcome was not in our favor at all, it left us in a more challenging situation than before his legal assistance; an innocent parent was converted to guilty; we felt "thrown under the bus" by our own Defense attorney. Ultimately we lost custody of our only child, false-allegations sustained,lost parts of our life irreversibly, lost financially. We feel a PUBLIC Defender would have been more trusting & accountable. We being innocent went from Sole to Zero custody. Our Case-file w/court-Transcripts was later reviewed by several legal professionals, including CIVIL-Rights & CPS attorneys & many expressed serious concerns about his handling of our case. We shared our concerns with California STATE Bar. We wish no one goes thru what we endured w/this cold representation & now r left reeling from its extremely damaging aftermath. We share this account so others can make informed choices.

Our family went to Mo during one of the worst times in our lives, hoping he would help our son and daughter-in-law. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. Instead of feeling supported, we felt ignored and misled throughout the process. Communication was poor, and it often seemed like our concerns were not a priority at all. What we expected to be honest guidance turned into frustration and regret. Looking back, I would absolutely not choose this attorney again and would strongly advise others to think twice before trusting him with something so important

Mohammad was an invaluable asset during a very stressful period for us. He personally responded to communications and didn’t hand it off to his staff. Believe me when I say Mo knows the law. Upon retaining his services he immediately walked us through all our options and what to expect going forward. He answered our calls immediately or called back within a minute or two. He thought ahead through different scenarios and made a list for us to prepare and keep handy in case we needed it. We felt fully prepared for any eventuality. Just knowing that we had him on our side and that he truly had our back, put all our fears to rest. He is a true advocate for his clients. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable but brought it forth with compassion and humanness. We would unequivocally recommend Mo.

He was obsessively overbearing, constantly pestering us with calls at odd hours instead of actually working on the legal merits of our case. Rather than handling the heavy lifting, he forced us to endure every agonizing detail of the process, dragging out the timeline just to justify his 'updates' and keep us in a state of constant anxiety. It felt less like legal representation and more like he was holding our family’s future hostage for a paycheck. Keeping your family safe is priceless, but hiring Mohammad was a costly mistake that nearly tore ours apart. I strongly urge you to look elsewhere
