While I ended up working my case out last minute, I spoke to Allison the week prior about my case and the complexity of it. Even though my story surrounding the case was long and detailed, she patiently listened, and asked questions along the way, in a non rushed manner, which I really appreciated. After I finished, we talked in more detail and was up front yet genuine when discussing her retainer, and I let her know I'd be getting that retainer within the week. It was semi urgent as my case was proceeding soon. I did end up getting the retainer, and updated her office staff of my progress along the way, but then reached a point where I had to make a critical decision yet I had not yet officially retained her. As other (negative) reviewers have mentioned about returning calls, I experienced the same issues, as I called the office the day before I needed to make that decision and let her staff know I had the retainer but I needed a quick recommendation asap, but unfortunately I didn't get a call back then either. HOWEVER, she told me up front, she has a smaller client base she keeps because she works hard on her cases that she's responsible for, and I believe that. I noticed other reviewers were not yet her clients either and I understand where the priorities lie. So given the situation, my urgency for her to accept a new case when she's already committed to ones she already has, I understand, does not take priority. I'm writing this positive review because of what I did see, from speaking with her, was a lot more than my impressions that I got from other firms in the area. In summary, once you retain her, I believe what the other clients in the reviews have said, that she does a great job for them. I can see that in her character. I found a way to resolve my case, after pushing my state attorney to follow through with my requests, but if that wouldn't have worked out in my favor, I would have still attempted to retain her for my case.
