Bret represented us in pursuing a claim against our lender. The lender had prequalified us for a loan and provided written correspondence that we used in our dealings with sellers, but mishandled a conversion to a conventional from VA loan when we decided to withdraw our offer after a concerning inspection report. The lender failed in their fiduciary duty to enable us to get our earnest money returned and actually reported inaccurate information to all 3 credit bureaus. Bret threatened to sue the lender for slandering our credit, negligence and negligent misrepresentation. After writing a demand letter, the lender admitted their fault, refunded us the earnest money, and paid our legal fees. If we ever need legal advice in the future, Bret is our “go-to” lawyer.
