Left from there in tears today. I had a very unique situation and needed a letter drafted for one of my children. She had already been retained and all fees paid. I presented at her office this afternoon after leaving 2 messages that had yet been returned. After speaking to her receptionist and being informed she was with a client and had zoom court at 3pm, I called my child and their agent and was asked by them to wait to see her as our request would only take a few minutes and was urgent. An enormous amount of money was to be received by my child upon receipt of this letter. The receptionist told me, Carrie would not be seeing me today at all and was aware of my 2 previous messages and the urgency of my request. I asked will the letter at least be drafted today? I was told, she couldn’t guarantee that either. I went to my car crying out of pure disappointment. We retained another attorney and got our request taken care of within a hour. They called my child, as they are in another state that’s why I’m handling their in person business and all of a sudden had time to meet with us at 4:30pm. We declined as our new attorney was already meeting our needs and had drafted and faxed the letter. On what started off as a very happy day, with exiting news for our child was abruptly dismissed. Last, she was recommended to me by a friend of mine whom is an attorney, but doesn’t practice in our county. I called my friend, she was devastated at how I/we were treated and apologized immensely for the recommendation. Final words, disappointed, frustrated, and hurt.
