I was a resident of Mission Shadows in Tucson and we had a homeowners association , when the market crashed a few years back the H.O.A. stopped servicing the grounds like they used to, the pool was neglected as well as the landscaping, I told the HOA that I would not pay there fee as long as they did not do there duties, I refused to pay for about 14 months til the improvements started up again, in that time frame the H.O.A put a lien on me and started to fine me, with late charges and bogus filing fees and attorney fees and attempted to collect about $6000 in penalties, I contacted Edward Laber Jr, told him my situation and showed him the paperwork and he took on the H.O.A and there shyster attorney, After about 2 months the H.O.A attorney responded and Mr Laber told them how it really works and why those fees and fines were ridiculous and we made an offer and they accepted and the case settled, If Mr Laber does not represent me I would have had to pay more than $6000, he knows how to take on H.O.A "s, they are abusive and they think they are above the law and an attorney like Mr Laber understands real estate and the laws, I recommend him to anyone who needs his type of service.
