First let me preface that I almost never write reviews as I tend to not want to take the word of a stranger over a referral from a friend. Let me also say that I have little experience with attorneys beyond my many years of watching “LA Law” ! About five years ago I had a dangerous fall that shattered my shoulder. In my 60 years on the planet I had never broken a bone before and the pain was indescribable ! I decided to sue the merchant where it occurred and asked various friends for referrals of personal injury attorneys in my area. I looked up each online and I read through mediocre reviews with 2-3 star ratings. I continued to research and came across the name of Kevin Flahavan of Flahavan Law Offices in Westlake Village who had the highest rating of FIVE stars with only glowing reviews. I went ahead and left messages for the mediocre lawyers and one for Kevin too. I only received one return phone call and much to my surprise it was from Kevin himself ! He proceeded to speak to me for quite a while explaining the legal process of just HOW he would fight my case and made no false hopes yet seemed confident and optimistic. It had been at least 25 years since I had spoken to an attorney and I had always been under the impression that I should go with a loud, fast-talking, obnoxious schiester in order to win a case but Kevin appeared to be the total OPPOSITE ! Instead, Kevin took the approach of EDUCATING me on the law and HOW my case would fit within it. Through the entire process he was always relaxed, patient, and communicative. In the end HIS approach proved to be affective and he delivered extremely well for ME ! I would absolutely recommend him and I am comforted in knowing that should I ever have an injury again in my life, he would be my first phone call on the way home from the hospital !
