My experience with Gastelum Attorneys was profoundly disappointing during one of the most important matters of my life: a custody case involving my daughter. From the beginning, communication was poor, inconsistent, and disorganized. Multiple people handling my case either left the firm or were terminated, resulting in important information not being properly transferred. I often found myself repeating facts, providing documents multiple times, and doing much of the preparation myself. The most serious issue occurred when my drug test results were misread. I was told I had tested positive for multiple substances and was treated accordingly, despite repeatedly insisting the results were wrong and providing additional negative tests. For nearly two weeks, I endured immense stress and anxiety during an active custody case. Jenny Gastelum eventually reviewed the results herself and acknowledged that a major mistake had been made—the test had actually been negative. Jenny apologized, refunded my fees, and both verbally and in writing promised that she would personally represent me moving forward at no cost, including future related representation if needed. Based on those assurances, I stayed with the firm. Unfortunately, that promise was never honored. I later received contracts and invoices for trial representation, and when I sought clarification, I was told I would still be billed. When I attempted to reach a reasonable resolution based on the firm’s admitted error and prior commitments, the firm instead moved to withdraw. Being wrongly labeled a drug user because of your attorney’s mistake is something no client should experience. The firm’s poor communication, staff turnover, mishandling of critical evidence, and failure to honor its own promises caused unnecessary stress, delay, expense, and damage during a case involving my child. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Gastelum Attorneys.

Not only was I able to keep my house and handyman company... but also physical custody of my two sons, ages 17 and 5, and my 13-year-old daughter as well as having my ex-wife pay child support.
