Joseph Gutheinz is not just a Texas Criminal Law Super Lawyer but a Super Man as well. Terrible. Do not go with this Lawyer for any criminal matters. They (Joseph) will make you try to take a plea deal even if you are innocent. I had a minor (B) misdemeanor in 2018. Criminal Trespass. I felt the case was bogus from the beginning and that I should never have been arrested. I was dropping off presents to what was, and had been my residence for 7 months prior to the incident. Long story short, I completed a 6 month deferred adjudication in early 2019. The entire time I was on supervision, and even when I was in court, this lawyer was informed the arresting officer on my case was under IA investigation. The officer was found guilty in an IA investigation. The lawyer was provided evidence regarding my case that could have exonerated me in 2018 and again in 2021. They never notified me, and again actually convinced me that a plea deal was a good idea. For the sake of you or your loved ones innocence and clear record, GET A DIFFERENT LAWYER.

ATTORNEY GUTHEINZ IS THE BEST!!! You will not regret working with him. He works very fast and efficiently as well. His paralegal Raquel Suarez is very awesome.

DO NOT recommend James Gutheinz. Not a competent lawyer. Very unprofessional, not compassionate, not reliable, not trustworthy... He and the opposing counsel had some type of agreement outside of the case...Their paralegal, Raquel, is very lacking as well. They never sent my paperwork to the OAG, and 7 months later I have to handle that portion on my own to resolve the fact the OAG believed I owed $2400 in back child support due to their ignorance and lack of thoroughness. Notice that bad reviews usually have same complaints. Horrible lawyer. Inept. Simply making money off of consumer's who trust in his lies that he tells you during your consultation. What he called a simple child support modification drug on. He even told me several times to just settle for the proposed amount by the opposing counsel, because someday I would possibly make more money and it would “even out”. WOW!!!

Michael Gutheinz was absoulety amazing! I have never been in trouble before so I was terrified. Everyone said this case will not be dropped. But he was able to get mine dropped. I'm not promising that for you as well. But I know for sure the Gutheinz' will do their absolute best to make sure you get the best deal possible. They will fight for you. I would pick this law firm over and over again. if I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Attorney Mr. Jim Gutheinz handled our custody case and was an amazing advocate. Never had any issues with anything! His communication was always on point, he handled the paperwork with ease, and was very diligent with looking out for our best interests and finances. Our first court appearance was the day of a family members funeral, but he still showed up to court because he knew how important it was and how hard we all had worked to get there. I would 1000% recommend Jim!!!!
