Court Reporters beware. I had a disappointing experience dealing with transcript payment issues involving this firm. A full trial transcript was requested on an expedited basis and was prepared and delivered accordingly. After delivery, payment was disputed despite the transcript having been specifically requested beforehand, because he obtained it from the other parties. He then claimed, through a very lawyer-esque "trial prep" case explanation, that he never confirmed his order because after he asked me to send it asap, he asked for the price, which he believes means that he didn't confirm his order because after seeing the price he no longer responded or wanted it (since he had planned to get it through alternative sources). As a court reporter, a significant amount of time and labor goes into preparing trial transcripts accurately and under tight deadlines. Clear communication and good faith handling of transcript orders are extremely important in maintaining professional working relationships within the legal industry. I attempted multiple times to resolve the matter reasonably and professionally. I reduced the bill amount and responded to all of his arguments and excuses, trying to come to an agreement and to understand what his issue was. I even reached out to the partners of the firm to ask for help, and followed up a few times with no response. Unfortunately, the experience left me concerned about how transcript vendors and court reporting professionals are treated in billing disputes. I hope the matter can still be resolved appropriately.

They’re the worst I do not recommend they would go months and years without telling you anything then they would allow your case to get dismissed DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE

Ignore the subway ads. These guys will leave your case in a stack and be harder to reach than the defendants themselves. Over two years, we heard very little in followup about our hotel hot water burn case (2yr old was severely scalded from a faucet turned much higher than regulation temps). Finally, we received a case cancellation letter without another word of correspondence on the eve of the statute of limitations expiry. We wasted our time and opportunity by trusting this firm with this matter instead of a more active group. Skip HK&G.

Worst law firm. The paralegal never is at her desk. She never returns phone calls. The lawyer Allison Keenan is extremely disrespectful. Do yourself a favor and find another law firm cause these people are extremely ungrateful for the business you bring to them. Please find another firm. Trust me this one isn’t it.

I waited approximately one year for updates from the assigned paralegal, J. Sanford, regarding my case. During that time, communication was extremely limited. My calls often went unanswered, and I received no proactive updates about the status of the investigation. Eventually, I stopped reaching out, with the understanding that I would be contacted when there were meaningful developments. Instead, I recently received a letter stating that the firm had decided not to pursue my case. While I no longer had an interest in continuing with the firm due to the lack of communication and professionalism, the primary issue is the significant amount of time lost. This decision appears to have been made long before it was communicated to me, and had I been informed in a timely manner, I could have sought representation elsewhere. Additionally, my name was repeatedly misspelled in their correspondence, which further reflects a lack of attention to detail and professionalism. Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing. Clear, timely communication and basic diligence would have made a substantial difference.
