When my son unexpectedly passed away my wife and I were distraught and unable to focus. Not only was the pain unbearable we now had to deal with all of the legal aspects of his estate. I had a great experience with Ryan Hodges. I had engaged another attorney to help me with uncle's estate. The first attorney was, in my opinion, over complicating the issue and was not returning my calls or emails. My mother passed away without a will so Jackson and White was hired to deal with her affairs to pass the assets through probate. This is a very long and frustrating process, and having an attorney to facilitate the process is critical. The attorney filed all the court paperwork and facilitated communication with the other heir in order to get everything signed and submitted for court approval on time. In addition, all my questions and follow ups were answered promptly, of which there were many. I feel that the cost incurred to use an attorney versus navigating the probate process oneself is well worth the money. Personal thanks to Ryan Hodges for his diligence, patience and professional demeanor in what took dramatically longer (through no fault of the firm) than it should have. Jackson White was an "unknown" to me when someone gave me their information. My mother and I were in need of an Elder Law firm to create some overlooked documents. She needed to create the POA "packet." I normally do heavy research before I just accept referring info, but mom was comfortable with giving them a try Those whom I worked with at Jackson White were friendly, never ever pushed us into things mom didn't need, and just walked us through the process. Very, very impressive Elder Law firm!!
