If You have a Legit Work Comp Case, She is Your Go to Attorney. My Case took 3 Years and She and Her Team, Guided Me threw it all. And the Results Were Excellent!!
Called about a workers comp case and the secretary would not take my information because she stated that it was a waste of time. I’ve been through hell and back the past 4 years but that interaction was horrible. I already have a settlement offer but need to retain council for compensation. All I’m looking for is council and guidance willing to pay for quality but attorney Kathryn’s office was not it.
Kathryn and her staff have been a God send. Can't thank them enough.

Kathryn and her staff were great. Patient. Helpful. And successful. I had no idea how many options and benefits I had coming to me after my injury. I was injured over time and had a worker's compensation case. They fought for me.

This has been a nightmare so far dealing with this lawyer. She has screamed at me several times as well as hung up in my face, because I was trying to obtain information about my case, if I question anything that she does, that I feel is inadequate or an area of my case that I know to be complex, I always feel that this firm handles all her worker's comp cases with a cookie cutter approach. I believe she does this to enable her to hire staff with limited legal experience because they are only required to do the same duties for most, if not all of their clients. My claim was very complex. because I worked as a commercial truck driver. The same laws that apply to most employees don't apply to truck drivers, for one reason or another, usually labor laws are different, as well as the fact that the DOT (Department of Transportation) regulates truckers. Ms. Yount repeatedly seems to treat my case as she would for a regular employee, I had a stroke and when I filed a WC case, I was required to see a QME (qualified medical examiner) who said he believed my stroke was work related (twice) Initially, I was released by all the doctors i had seen in the hospital as well as doctors I was required to see afterward. I should have been able to return to driving but my job which had terminated me as well as cancelled my medical insurance less than 3 weeks after I had my stroke, told me I had to remain off from work a minimum of 2 years, even though 3 different doctors including 2 neurologist felt I was capable to return to work. This attorney tried to blame sick, unemployed me for not going and paying for myself a DOT examination, as if that somehow would have forced my job to rehire me. Now, the complex part is that WC is basically trying to deny my case even though the doctor that WC required me to see, says he believes my injury is work related and normally a person gets paid benefits if the doctors says that, but in my case WC is basically not wanting to honor their own doctors findings because now they say he was not a DOT qualified.doctor. If I was required to see only a DOT qualified doctor, then that is the kind of doctor they should have sent me to initially. This is what I have been trying so hard to get this law firm to aggressively defend that WC sent me to their doctor, the wrong type of doctor, Even so, the QME they did send me to, supports my claim, yet they are trying to blame me for not getting a DOT doctor to examine me.
