I hired Justin on the recommendation of another attorney to assist me with the sale of my business. Perhaps my case was small and insignificant to him – he certainly seemed to regard it that way. He gave me very few details on what I needed to do to prepare for the closing, what documents might be requested, or what to expect at the event. I ended up drafting the letter of intent myself. For two months, I repeatedly asked Justin for a draft of the sale agreement. Sometimes he made excuses for not producing it, sometimes he didn’t reply to me at all. When I finally did receive it, it was barely in time for the closing. Justin did not explain to me that he would cash my buyer’s earnest money check and place the money in escrow. I thought he would hold the check itself. This caused a banking crisis with my buyer, and I ended up writing her a personal check to cover the amount. At the actual closing, Justin showed up 20 minutes late. He had not texted or called to tell us that he would be late. When he did arrive, he was disorganized and seemed barely awake. In contrast, my buyer’s attorney was extremely organized, calm and professional, and he clearly explained the transaction to us. Justin just shuffled papers. I was embarrassed to have him representing me. Throughout this process, I felt ignored, diminished and unimportant. It seemed as if I didn’t ask the questions, I would have had no information at all. That means I had to actually know what questions to ask. I built my business from nothing to a thriving and well-respected company, albeit a small one. The closing of its sale should have been a happy and satisfying culmination of my hard work over the years. I did not at any time feel that my attorney was advocating for my best interests, which is what I thought I was paying $2000 for him to do. This review would have been one star but for the help of Robert Law while Justin was away. I wish I had hired Bob Law instead of his son. July 15, 2021 - Just thought I would add that Mr. Law never contacted me to apologize for his unprofessional service. He also did not contact me about this poor review.

Justin setup the LLC for my business. He did a great job explaining how the process worked and filed all the paperwork promptly. Highly recommended!
