Law Office of Brandon Martin

Called and a robot answered. It offered several appointment dates but every time I tried to book it. Robot said TRY ANOTHER DATE. I tried several times to pick a date. But no dice. I gave up. HIRE A HUMAN !!!

Brandon won't respond to ANY emails or calls regarding $2,550 that was supposed to be refunded to me by his office since that money ended up not being utilized during our estate planning with his office. I have tried a ridiculous amount of times to get ahold of Brandon, emails, calls to his office, texts and he basically has ignored about 95% of the attempts to contact him. The couple times he has responded he promises to mail me the check for the refund the same day. It never happens...My Father and I have been trying since March/April of this year(2025) to get the my money back from this office that Brandon personally told my Father in March was to be refunded to me. It is now mid-August and still nothing AND now when I call the office they forward my calls! I don't know what the issue is but at this point it feels to me as though Brandon has intentionally decided to simply keep my hard earned money for himself/his office. This is unethical and extremely frustrating to say the least. I will be filing an official complaint to the State Bar of California Office of the Chief Trial Counsel in regard to this and what appears to be, blatant theft. And yes, I have all the evidence gathered & timeline well established to back up the claims made here in my review.

I had trouble even leaving a 1 star review for Brandon. We had an initial appointment to start a simple trust, power of attorney, medical directive and an update to a property deed. He showed up over 40 minutes late. It seemed like he forgot about the appointment when my brother in law had called to confirm before driving down. His office was a mess with clients paper work scattered all over for anyone to see. Brandon quoted my Brother-in -law 1700$ for the work and then conveniently forgot he agreed on that. I offered to pay his price to add the documents for power of attorney, medical directive and deed update. Which now would cost 2500$, He agreed and stated it would take a week.I paid the whole amount upfront. We waited 2 months without a word. When contacted numerous times he gave multiple excuses on why the job wasn't complete. After multiple contacts the work was complete only lacking the updated deed. Which he did not complete and now my brother-in -law has to do himself. The papers were just handed over straight from copy and not even in a business folder or binder like a professional office would provide. I would not recommend anyone go seek service from Brandon Martin law office. Terrible customer service. I wish I had not paid the whole amount upfront. The service given was not worth the cost.

Absolutely an awesome experience and really enjoyed sitting down with Brandon Martin and discussing some of the issues I was facing with my family Trust during a absolute crisis in my families life. He has a immensely strong knowledge of Trust law and what is needed to ensure the proper protection of your family’s assets and property as well as Trustees Rights dealing with un willing parties that are beneficiaries. After reviewing our trust documents, I scheduled an appointment with Brandon Martin for legal clarification. From the beginning, he was professional, efficient, and incredibly clear in his communication. His explanations made sense, and he walked us through our questions with calm confidence and straightforward business etiquette. He was transparent about fees and timing, which we truly appreciated. Brandon has a calm and knowledgeable demeanor that immediately puts you at ease. If we need to retain a trust attorney in the future, he will absolutely be our first call. Highly recommend his services.

Update: later this same day Mr Martin called and apologized for standing me up earlier. We discussed my mother's estate, and he answered my questions and concerns, giving me 30 min rather than the complimentary 20min. His honesty and time were appreciated. ******************************* Original post 4/14/25: If I could rate 0 I would. Waited on zoom 40min+ for Martin to start our consult for settling my mothers estate. He set it up and confirmed in 3 different emails, one just an hour prior to our scheduled call. When he didn't connect after 5min, I called the office to make sure I had link, date correct. I waited and called again after 40mins. Each time I got a receptionist who a)could not reach Martin and b) didn't know where he was. He/the staff never contacted me, I initiated both times. And still haven't heard from them after I expressed my disappointment in this experience. Very unprofessional, rude and arrogant. What I get for Googling estate lawyers and going with the first one. What a joke. A lawyer at another firm said its no surprise I was treated this way by Martin. Future Clients beware...only wish Id known before wasting my time.

Brandon was very helpful and generous with his time in educating us on a tricky estate issue.

My wife and I chose this attorney to help us with our estate planning and he asked to see our old will/trust documents which had been previously done by another attorney but had since retired. Our mistake was not only in hiring Mr. Brandon Martin, but another mistake was paying the full amount up front. Our original estate planning attorney had completed our documents in two weeks. Mr. Martin slow played us taking almost 6 months. I wrote him several texts and email messages but to no avail. At one point, he wrote back saying, "as you can see, I'm in no hurry to get this done. Finally, on December 1, 2023, almost 6 months later, he contacted me saying our paperwork was ready to be signed. When we went in to get our new Estate/trust documents, I asked him for our old original documents. He said he didn't have them with him but he would mail them to us. On January 2, 2024, he wrote me saying he had been in San Diego and mail us the documents the next day. I offered to go pick them up. Today is January 23, 2024 and we have not received our old documents. Mr. Martin leaves me no choice but to assume this is personal and I don't know what he has against me or my wife, but there's no other explanation. If you want to avoid problems, look elsewhere for a more professional attorney. I don't recommend this man.

He's the best and vary helpful and listens to you .I'm glad I found him to help me and my disabled husband out.
