A very belated review that I just realized I never left - We had a great experience with Kathleen and her office in the matter of a step-parent adoption. She was thorough in explaining the different types of step-parent adoption that could apply to our case (contested vs uncontested) and with her guidance, we were able to land on an uncontested case. She handled all the communication and paperwork with the additional parent. As this was during COVID, our hearing was held virtually, but it was a quick and easy process the whole way through. This woman encouraged my family to hide (kidnap)my daughter from me when I went to pick her up. They had no guardianship prior. I have no history of abuse or neglect. I haven't seen my daughter since February. This woman is a monster. I should not be in this situation

Kathy made the process of re-adoption after a foreign adoptions easy. We did not understand we needed to do this until we needed a birth certificate for our daughter( we adopted her when she was 18 months) Kathy is straight up, has a great website and makes the process of going through the court system is painless. (We live on the other side of WA state and it was still easy).
