Deciding to have my Will / Trust drawn up generated a plethora of emotions for me. Upon entering their law ofc, my anxiety was through the roof! Ted and his staff all worked doggedly to insure my comfort and peace of mind while painstakingly insuring all my i’s were dotted and t’s were crossed! All listened intently, answered all my questions, for which there were many, and delivered my documents with a face-to-face sit down, review, note taking, all to insure my understanding and comfort in knowing my wishes were addressed and will be well looked after. The best way to describe my relationship with The Law Firm of Ted Wolfendale, is that Ted and his paralegal Alan are “my knights and shining armor”. They accomplished in 5 days, what other elder law firms said would take a month, and they did it for the most reasonable price. My only regret is that I did not find them sooner. Our story: My 98 year-old mother had just gotten off of the Medicaid waitlist. I had one month to get all the paperwork and doctor forms completed and a qualified income trust established for her, as she was $200 a month over the Medicaid limit. I first reached out to Legal Shield attorneys. They assured me they could get me a qualified income trust in a few days, that never happened. They sent me to another attorney, who told me that it would take over a month to establish a trust. By this time I have two weeks left to get the trust. I began searching the Internet for elder law attorneys, calling and leaving messages. Most said there was not enough time. Then Alan from The Law Firm of Ted Wolfendale called me back. Even though Alan was moving houses, and had other clients to help, in five days, I had the trust in my hand, had set it up with the bank, and turned it into Medicaid. Ted met with me and spent over an hour answering my questions and educating me on elder law and Medicaid.
