If you want an attorney who will truly advocate for you without you having to do the legwork, look elsewhere. Josh attempted to have me sign off on a settlement before confirming crucial medical lien details. I felt he had the firm’s "quick payout" in mind rather than my best interest. Once the money was on the table, it just seemed as if they no longer really cared to fight for me and just wanted me to accept and sign off. ‼️Please.. young people and especially P.O.C do not let them lowball you into signing something. You could be leaving thousands on the table‼️ In my case the driver has a set maximum benefit on their insurance policy, so there was no way that Josh or Brad would ever make anything more than their set amount. The only benefit of fighting the medical liens, which were ridiculous btw, would’ve been to secure more for my own recovery. However, I had to be my own advocate, providing the documentation and hardship letters that eventually increased my payout my thousands of dollars.. steps that Brad himself told me were "meaningless” because the policy limit was set and it “wasn’t even a lot of money”. His words! However it was only “meaningless” and “not a lot of money” for them. Every dollar I get back from the medical liens, is a dollar towards my surgeries and recovery. I even told him this because I just couldn’t believe that he would say that to me, knowing I was without teeth and struggling to pay for my recovery. It was almost as if he wanted me to pay them 33% of the money for pretty much no reason. He hated that I was actually asking them to do their jobs. It’s actually kind of sad. I am a single woman of color, without any family nearby and it did seem that they took advantage of my situation if I’m being 100% honest. I mean the fact that I was hit by a car 03/25/2025 and was paid out before the year was even over says a lot. It was an okay payout but really just barely enough to stabilized and get the surgeries I needed. I believe I could have gotten more if they actually wanted to fight for me. The office also lacks professionalism. I was sent incorrect emails, treated rudely by staff, and was handed my final check without a simple ID check… a major security red flag. I simply said I was there for a check and the woman handed it right over. No care for my case whatsoever. While Brad eventually took over my case and negotiated a better outcome, I had to press him to do so, and his demeanor was often dismissive of my lived reality as a pedestrian in a major accident. I felt rushed, unheard, and judged. I am disappointed with my choice in going with this firm. I think I could’ve gotten better results with another office or even just standing alone.
