Joel initially provided guidance during a critical period in my case, offering insight that helped me move forward. And he did so pro bono. However, as the filing deadline approached and I was seeking representation, he led me on for a couple of months, and then abruptly reneged on representation citing time constraints at critical junctures. In the first instance he implied availability for the second instance, and then reneged again. When pressed for a referral, he provided one, but they also had their hands full at that time. That is not to say that it isn't the right of an employment law practice to refuse representation, but to note that his communication was equivocal at key moments, and they impeded decisive actions when they were necessary. Added April 4th, 2025: As follow up to Joel's response to the review I must note that they tried to obfuscate the focal point of the review: The review was not stating that Joel should have time to help everyone. It was stating that Joel lead me on on two different occasions. A single star is hence warranted for the attempted obfuscation of the details of the review. Added May 23rd, 2025: Remaking the rating for Joel since he did introduce me to my current counsel.
