I am super greatful I found her! Nan really knows how to get the best outcome for you as long as you do your part of the job when needed. She is very open honest and blunt, no sugar coating how things are. As long as you do your part, she has your back and definitely has knowledge and the gift! Thanks Nan! She helped me back in 2014 with a third DUI and again in 2024 I believe with what would be charged a 2nd because of the 10 year mark. She got the best outcome that I was wishing for and that could possibly happen despite my situation. I was blessed to have her help, knowledge and support in all this!! Thank you Nan! You’re a true blessing!!!
Nan provided an excellent experience. Her diligence and tenacity made all the difference in the success of my case. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs someone reliable and persistent. She’s someone that you don’t want to pass up.
Thank you Nan.

I cannot say enough incredible things about Nan Bucknell. From the very first conversation, she was professional, confident, and completely in control. Nan immediately made me feel supported, informed, and protected.
Her knowledge of DUI law is unmatched. She is sharp, strategic, and extremely detail-oriented. Every step of the process was explained clearly, and she always made herself available to answer questions and ease concerns. You can tell she genuinely cares about her clients and fights hard for the best possible outcome.
If you are looking for a top-tier DUI attorney who is intelligent, compassionate, and relentless in her advocacy, Nan Bucknell is the one you want on your side. I am beyond grateful for her guidance and representation.
Highly, highly recommend.
I had the pleasure of working with Nan L. Bucknell over seven years ago, and I continue to be impressed by her professionalism and genuine care for her clients. Despite the time that has passed, she still remembers me and my name, which speaks volumes about the kind of attorney she is.
Recently, I reached out to her for advice on a matter outside her practice area. Even though it wasn’t something she handled, she still took the time to listen, offer thoughtful guidance, and point me in the right direction. Her willingness to help, without hesitation and without charging a fee, felt more like the support of a trusted friend than a formal legal consultation.
It is rare to find an attorney who leads with both expertise and true compassion. Nan Bucknell is one of those rare professionals who not only knows the law but cares deeply about the people she serves. I am incredibly grateful for her support and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone in need of legal representation.
I never imagined I’d be in this position at 70 years old, being pulled over by the police and charged with a DUI. As a Black man, that experience shook me to my core. The fear, confusion, and shame hit all at once. You start questioning everything, what’s going to happen, how this will affect your life, and whether anyone will believe your side of the story.
What made it even harder is that I actually know and respect a lot of police officers, one of my closest friends and my brother-in-law both served on the force, and I’ve always had good relationships with law enforcement. But even with that, the whole situation was terrifying.
After the initial shock wore off, I knew I needed help. A few friends told me to get an attorney, even though, being retired, I was worried about the cost. But I also knew that not having the right attorney could cost me so much more.
I did my research, made a few calls, and when I spoke with Nan, something just clicked. She was sharp, compassionate, and had this calm confidence that made me feel I was finally in good hands. I could tell she understood both the legal side and the emotional weight of what I was going through.
Hiring Nan turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. She’s tough, no nonsense, but she also listens and genuinely cares. I trusted her completely, and she proved me right. She fought hard for me and somehow convinced the DA to drop the case entirely.
I can’t even describe the relief I felt when I heard the news. It was like a hundred pounds lifted off my shoulders. I’m so grateful to Nan for her hard work, her compassion, and her belief in me when I really needed someone in my corner.
If you ever find yourself in a legal situation that feels impossible, call Nan. She’s the real deal — smart, fearless, and genuinely kind. I’ll be forever thankful for what she did for me.

Nan was great! She was always extremely attentive and easy to contact whenever I needed. She was very compassionate towards my situation. At the end we successfully won the case! Nan, you are the best!
Nan is extremely knowledgable and professional. She helped me through my court case and helped me make the best out of a bad situation. I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a criminal defense lawyer.
🚫 Worst lawyer experience ever! 🚫
Unprofessional from start to finish — always late to court, zero communication, and instead of fighting for me, she made my situation WORSE. Took the money and did absolutely nothing to help. Feels like all the “good reviews” are fake because my experience was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and stay far away!
Owner response
This appears to be a fake review with no factual basis. All of my other reviews are from actual clients. I would be glad to meet with this person to discuss and refund any unearned fees. Please reach out to my office, thanks.
I cant say enough good things about Nan. Im on a visa, so the stakes were high and a misstep could put me in a lot of disadvantage. From Day 1, she was kind, approachable, straightforward, laser prepared, always ready with the right material and crystal clear about next steps. I was able to setup multiple session and she made sure that every detail of the case and its proceedings is clear to me. Her strategy and attention to detail were outstanding. If you are looking for a brilliant lawyer with years of experience, genuinely compassionate about fyour case then you should choose her.
Nan Bucknell is a legendary, highly experienced lawyer who accomplished the impossible by getting my felony domestic violence charge down to a full dismissal. For nine months she and her amazing paralegal, Gina, worked on my case and answered any questions I had. Nan was highly communicative, quick to respond, and reassuring yet practical about what she can realistically deliver in terms of case outcomes. She is straightforward, has no unnecessary fees, and fights for her clients tooth and nail. You cannot go wrong with Nan Bucknell and the incredible team that she has to support her years of experience. I highly recommend Nan and cannot thank her enough for the hope she brought back into my life and hope you will consider her for your legal needs, too. From felony to dismissal, she worked magic with my case and I was beyond grateful to have her as my private attorney during one of the darkest periods of my life. As an aspiring law student, Nan set the bar for me on what it means to be a true lawyer, in and out of the courtroom.
Update with specifics - when I first met Nancy, she suggested that I work with this great life coach who she works with as a team to create positive outcomes for clients. This life coach turned out to be related to Nancy for over 30 years. The life coach and I would speak at length about the issues I faced as a client in my case, but also the struggles I faced with the behavior of Nancy. When I discussed that behavior with Danis, Danis would then begin to vent about Nancy, illuminating a HUGE conflict of interest. I found out that Danis and Nancy were LIVING TOGETHER at the time that I hired Danis. I found out that Danis and Nancy have YEARS of a toxic relationship between them, according to Danis. I have text proof of this, voice message proof, and texts from Danis explaining that she is worried about Nancy retaliating against her for telling me how bad it was between them. When I told Nancy this, Nancy supposedly cut her ties with Danis, and suggested that I get my money back from
Her. Nancy never suggested an alternative life coach, and even suggested after a few months of not working with Danis, to reunite with Danis. I reunited with Danis and the only concern Nancy had was wanting to know how much I had paid her. Throughout the years of working with them, it only got worse. Danis told me about many instances where Nancy was threatening towards her, and irrationally aggressive. I found out through my life coach, that my attorney (Nancy) was not to be trusted at all. And apparently she couldn’t be trusted. What a difficult position for a client to be in! Not one of them cared about the effect that it was all having on me. Toward the end of the relationship, Danis told me a very intimate detail about Nancy’s life, I then shared that with Nancy and her paralegal Gina, Nancy then sends a scathing email to her relative who is married to Danis, mentioning me “the client” and what I had told Danis, expressing that she was afraid of losing her 30 year reputation because of the information shared with me, thus violating the attorney client privilege. I never gave consent for them to speak about what I had told them. And I found myself square in the middle of Nancy and Danis, unprotected. Nancy, Danis, and Gina actually have all expressed issues with eachother, to me. I was already going through a very difficult time with the other party in my case, and didn’t need to be dealing with the serious issues between my attorney and my life coach on top of that. Judging by all this, I’m sure that Nancy has had no issues discussing my case with other clients, hence the recent review on her page and the TRUE victim statement. I never knew what to think from Nancy. Danis was sending me messages expressing how upset she was with me for sharing information that was supposed to be protected by the attorney client privilege between Nancy and I, also expressing how afraid she was of retaliation from Nancy. Danis always reminded me that Nancy threatened her one time saying “don’t mess with me, I’m lethal”. I have text message proof from Danis that she said this. I told Gina that I had enough of this mayhem and I was tired of being put in the middle. I told Gina that I was going to file a bar complaint, and Gina told Nancy, GINA called me back telling me to wait on filing the complaint and to have a meeting with Nancy to see if we can resolve the issue. I went to that meeting reluctantly with a friend of mine to witness. Gina and Nancy were present. Nancy starts the meeting off by telling me “look at your life Nick, your life is so sad…” smirking as she’s saying it. I couldn’t believe my ears. Under no condition should a client be put in this type of position. Nancy mocked me in that meeting, didn’t address the serious damage that had been done to me emotionally, nor did she address the clear conflict of interest she had placed me in the middle of. She laughed at me and mocked me for the list of concerns I had regarding the conflict of interest, and the affect her comments about her clients had on me.
