This is in reference to an estate handled by this firm. Bill gave good advice and was available in the process of handling my mom’s estate. I am thankful for the job he and his staff did. Missy did a thorough job in the land management and it was done in an efficient manner! She even allowed us to have the deeds recorded so to save money! I think this family law office might actually hate families. They're extremely hard to get in contact with. Bill is just rude, mean and acts like he's above everything and everyone. His kids are even worse. If you’re looking for a family law attorney who can turn a difficult chapter of your life into a full-blown horror novel, look no further. This attorney managed to turn my divorce into a sequel nobody asked for. Every consultation felt less like legal advice and more like a badly scripted daytime soap opera, starring my bank account as the tragic victim. Their negotiation skills? Imagine handing a toddler a megaphone and asking them to mediate. Spoiler: it didn’t go well. I’m convinced their legal strategy was based on the ancient art of shrugging and sending invoices. By the end, my ex and I were closer than ever—united only in the shared trauma of having hired this attorney. Honestly, if their goal was to create family unity through mutual hatred of them, then bravo. Mission accomplished. If you enjoy skyrocketing stress, evaporating savings, and the warm comfort of regret, this is the lawyer for you. Otherwise, protect your sanity and run like your alimony depends on it.

This was an estate. A house was sold, the buyer had to get the land description and address for it. When we met to sign the deed and mortgage, they had put the wrong address (attorneys are supposed to check at least this). There was a copy of the will but I had to contact the attorney who made it to get the original copy. Bill Matthews did not get it! They did not help with getting a survey done. (Mr. Steele would always call a surveyor and let them know the parties were ready to have it done.) When the other property was split, they did not record the deeds nor bother to get an assessed value from the tax assessors office. There has been no guidance as to how maneuver through settling an estate. We are having to do all the work. Two and one half years later and my mother’s small estate is still not finished. There is a great secretary that works there, so I really hated to leave such a review. However, Bill Matthew’s does not do his job!

Mr Matthews is a wonderful attorney. My family and I have used him on several occasions. He is upfront , fair and always represents his clients best interest.
