I hired Marcus about 18 months ago. He was great. Did a good job fighting for me and I finished my divorce with good results. Then I had issues with my ex and had to use Marcus again. Unfortunately it was an awful experience. Over the last few months I was double and triple billed for services I never received. I was expected to pay exuberant costs for his office staff to send me a bills that I would always pay immediately. Marcus said he would file paperwork that never got done and when I called him out on these issues and he said if I’m not happy I should leave. I did leave Marcus and I’m much happier. From my initial review of Marcus I suggested him to everyone giving him at least 3 clients. I had to call each one up and tell them what happened to me and that I was sorry for recommending him. All 3 are having the same issues and have either left Marcus or are leaving Marcus. Also Marcus has another lawyer in the office that does not know anything. I was told he has been a lawyer for a year and he takes way to long on items then you have to also pay Marcus to overlook his work. You will end up paying $950 per hour. Nobody is worth that much money. Look at your invoice if he is your lawyer. If you call Marcus about this he gets angry and stops working for you. If I was to give Marcus advice it would be fire your entire staff and go back to the basics. He knows his job but grew too big too quickly with a staff that is incapable. By the way the other 3 clients that I suggested Marcus to have either fired him or about to fire him.
