I retained Angelina Ray for representation in a restraining order matter. My experience raised significant concerns about communication, case management, and billing practices. Because of these issues, I pursued fee arbitration through the local bar association. The arbitrator ruled in my favor and awarded reimbursement of a portion of the fees I had paid. I encourage anyone considering legal representation to carefully review their retainer agreement, monitor billing statements closely, and ensure they feel confident in the communication and strategy being provided.

I was blind-sided at mediation when NONE of my evidence was available for reference. Responses were not very timely, and office staff was rotating. I had to start recording my voicemail messages when reaching out since I was unable to get a hold of anyone after multiple attempts. In retrospect, I have full faith I would've seen better results representing myself. Advice was questionable at times, but I was trying to trust that a professional knew how to handle the overall legal process best. She expressed unprofessional comments to me about my case during the hearing and by that time I felt like I was 100% alone fighting for my child's best interest and had an EX and what felt like his 2 lawyers to address. If she did not agree or support me as her client and she was not a right fit for my case, she should not have taken it. Outcome was not favorable in ANY aspect and after many years of my child suffering, I am finally able to address all my child has gone through with the aweful results she attained. Go with your gut instincts, and please fully research ANY legal counsel before hire. Don't let their Christan decor or "blessings" sign-offs fool you like it did me, in the end their true colors showed and it left my child hanging while they collected a paycheck. I would not recommend under ANY circumstances.

For over eight years (no fault of Angelina's, my ex went through four attorneys with continual delays), Angelina Ray has represented me in a difficult divorce with compassion, understanding, and patience. Every day at court, she was professional, skilled, and perfectly prepared for what came. Her staff were always polite, considerate, and thorough. I could not have asked for a better attorney and supportive staff. I consider her to have been a blessing in what turned out to be my greatest hardship and ordeal in life.

Do not waste your money on a consultation with this attorney. Absolutely no people skills, no empathy for your situation, won’t let you get your story out but will talk about you in a judgmental way. This attorney doesn’t have the energy of an advocate but one of someone that is just doing a job. Do not use her. When a disabled veteran father that lost use of his right hand, his home, and his child after a work injury her reply was, “I’ve seen people go through worse”. Horrible people skills.

Angelina is a great family law attorney I have worked with. Incredibly knowledgeable, firm and fair. I would highly recommend her especially if you have a complex child custody issue. I can’t say enough good things about her.

I cannot recommend Angelina enough! She fought hard for my kids and I, talked me down and reeled me back in when I needed it. Really listened to me and agreed to a strategy I was comfortable with. It took nearly 3 years, but she fought and stuck it out with me every step of the way. Bottom line, we can’t control what the courts will do but she fought to make sure they really heard our case at every crossroad. I could not be more grateful to her for her emotional and legal support during one of the worst times of my life.

Angelique and her team have handles viewings did my mother and my wife's grandparents. Their knowledge about family law and trust law is second to none. This is one of the few law firms run by a woman of color. That fact is not why I recommend it so highly, but it is a plus to see representation in the courtroom.
