Update in response to Peter’s reply: Peter, your response actually confirms the concern I raised. Whether I was a client or not has nothing to do with the way I was spoken to. Respect and professionalism shouldn’t depend on whether someone brings you business. My interaction with you was rushed, dismissive, and capped off with being told to “use common sense”. What’s even more telling is that your reply never addressed or apologized for that behavior. Instead, you focused solely on saying I wasn’t a client, as if that excuses the tone or the incorrect legal information you gave me. It doesn’t. I asked about penalties under MCL 418.801, and you stated they would need to be court-ordered — which is simply not accurate. Those provisions are publicly available and easy to verify. A professional response would have acknowledged the actual interaction, not avoided it. Your reply highlights exactly what I stated: the level of respect someone receives seems to depend entirely on whether you want their case. I stand by my experience. — Original Review Below: I had a frustrating experience with this firm. The attorney, Peter Woll, was dismissive, condescending, and rushed through our meeting. He told me to “use common sense” rather than addressing my concerns respectfully. When I inquired about penalties for late medical payments and wage loss benefits under Michigan law, he seemed unaware of key provisions in MCL 418.801 and incorrectly stated that any penalties would have to be court ordered. My understanding of MCL 418.801 was that it addresses these situations. For clarity, MCL 418.801(3) outlines a penalty for unpaid medical bills exceeding 30 days after certified notice of nonpayment (without dispute) as $50.00 or the amount of the bill due, whichever is less, per day of delay, up to a maximum of $1,500.00. Similarly, MCL 418.801(2) specifies a penalty for wage loss payments not made within 30 days of becoming due (without dispute) of $50.00 per day of delay, also capped at $1,500.00. His lack of understanding of these basic provisions of Michigan workers’ compensation law was shocking and unacceptable. I left feeling my concerns were dismissed, and the attorney failed to address my issues properly. I would not recommend this firm. He was one Google search away from knowing the facts yet talked about “common sense”. 0 Stars if possible

I had a disappointing experience with this firm. It seems like they only show professionalism when they’re interested in taking your case or when you’re already a client. Otherwise, the tone is noticeably different. In my interaction with Peter, he came off rude, which was surprising given the circumstances. The experience overall made it clear that the level of respect you receive depends on whether they see value in your case, and that shouldn’t be the standard.
