Wendy - you filed a chapter 13 case with our office over 2 years ago on 8-2-2017. A chapter 13 is a debt repayment plant that involves preparing the bankruptcy documents, attending a creditor's meeting, working with the chapter 13 trustee's office to resolve any objections to confirmation, and attending confirmation hearings with the court. We handled all of these steps, all the trustee objections were resolved and the plan was ready for to be confirmed nearly two years ago on 01-30-2018. Your case was successfully confirmed by the court on 04-09-2018. After the plan is confirmed, your case primarily involves you making your monthly plan payments. In other words, there is little to no legal work involved after your case has been confirmed.<br><br>While it is incorrect, we can understand you feeling that you "felt like she (the attorney) was never on our side." You can have this feeling when what you want runs contrary to the bankruptcy rules to get your plan confirmed. While we sympathize with your feelings, we are often placed in the position of being the bearer of bad news. We hope you recognize that we are on your side, but we have to work within the parameters of the bankruptcy code.<br><br>As for not responding to a recent email--during the repayment period of the plan--if you sent emails in the first couple of weeks of September of this year, we experienced intermittent email disruption with our hosting provider. We have since switched email hosting providers and haven't had any reported issues since making the change. In any event, if you haven't received a response from one or more emails, we encourage you to call us. Our number is 801-285-6866. By calling in after a non-responsive email, we can avoid miscommunication especially when a staff member is out of the office or has overlooked the email.
