I received a ticket in Oct 2025, didn’t understand why I was driving back home from New Jersey to Montreal, Canada and was stopped because apparently I didn’t change lanes when the police officer car was stopped. The original charge of VTL 1144-a Failed Due Care, a THREE (3) point violation, was reduced to VTL 1201(a), a ZERO (0) point parking violation.
