Awesome knowledgeable Attorney and a straight shooter, this man called me back at 6:30pm 2 days before Christmas and had my issues worked out by 9:30am the next morning, he went beyond his normal responsibilities to make sure we got the issue resolved before the Christmas holidays. This attorney refused to aid me in the legal matter in which I was surrounded and illegally, harassed and interrogated by law enforcement in a parking lot of a hotel in which I was a guest of, this happened to me on two separate occasions in the same day! I am not a resident of Georgia I live in Florida. I am in town on business and I can prove my constitutional rights were violated! I have filed a formal complaint with internal affairs with the police department where this happened, and I was advised to seek legal services of a civil rights attorney, and when I called this guy, he Completely dismissed the illegal harassment by law-enforcement that was done to me and totally acted like he was on their side or something and told me that I should move motel rooms he showed no sympathy toward my situation and gave me no Further advice as to what I should do about this incident! Furthermore, he advised me that he did not take a minor case of police misconduct and if someone wasn’t shot or injured or dead then it’s not important enough to him to be dealing with! He then tells me that if I didn’t like being illegally harassed like that, then I should consider just moving motel rooms!
Owner response
It’s unfortunate when someone’s frustration with law enforcement turns into misplaced anger at an attorney they’ve never actually met or hired.

To be clear: this individual was never a client of my firm. They made an unsolicited call seeking legal advice about an encounter with police and demanded that I take their case on the spot. I listened, explained that I am unaware of anything that I know how to do to help them and I do not take minor police-contact cases without evidence of injury or measurable damages. I told her about alternatives like Southern Center for Human Rights in Atlanta. And offered practical advice, which they apparently didn’t like.

A lawyer’s job isn’t to validate every story or tell someone only what they want to hear. It’s to assess whether the facts support a viable civil claim. Sometimes, that means telling someone the hard truth that their case isn’t one that can be pursued in federal court. But we don't charge "consultation fees" on cases with no future nor take money from people on false promises of hopes for redemption. There is no shortage of attorney's that will and part of me hopes you find one of them Ms. Johnson. Just because you do not like my advise, that I can't make the police be nicer to you and that I can't solve all your problems doesn't make me a bad attorney but does show you are a bitter person. All of her reviews a "one star".

I wish this reviewer the best in finding an attorney suited to their needs, but I stand by my professionalism, honesty, and judgment. That is what we do and that is why we are different than other attorneys.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
