Marcus at Sessions & Kimball provided outstanding representation during a very stressful time in my life. From the start, Marcus was professional, attentive, and someone whose guidance I knew I could rely on. He explained each step clearly, kept me updated, and made sure I always understood my options.
I was also incredibly impressed by the watching the attorneys work together seamlessly, combining their experience and insight to ensure the outcome of my matter was the best possible. Knowing I had not just one attorney, but an entire team behind me, gave me tremendous peace of mind.
There are truly no better employment attorneys in California than the team at Sessions & Kimball.

I am not satisfied with the way the law firm Don Session has handled my case. In 2022, my employer owed me two months of salary, so I went to the law office of Session & Kimball. I met with attorney Samuel Nielson am not satisfied with the way the law firm Don Session has handled my case. In 2022, my employer owed me two months of salary, so I went to the law office of Session & Kimball. I met with attorney Samuel Nielsen, and after reviewing my documents, he agreed to represent me.
After attorney Samuel left the firm, I spoke with attorney Don Session, who assured me that he would continue handling my case. However, after several months of waiting, I called the office to ask for an update. To my surprise, the secretary told me that my case had been closed. I asked why I had never received any notice or form informing me of this. Later, Mr. Sisson called me back and apologized, saying he had confused my case with another client’s.
I had been waiting for a court hearing, as the other party had refused to pay. Mr. Sisson apologized again and said he had been busy with other cases. I was very disappointed, because all I needed was for him to schedule an appointment with the DLSE to continue the case. Instead, he tried to negotiate with my employer but failed to obtain any payment.
From 2022 until now, Mr. Sisson has told me that the other party still refuses to pay, and that the firm could only negotiate for them to pay half. However, he also said that if I did not accept that offer, they would no longer represent me.
After more than three years, I feel that this law firm has acted irresponsibly. They did not keep their promises, and I have been waiting all this time without resolution. Since attorney Samuel Nissen left the firm and my case was transferred to Mr. Don Sisson, it has been treated carelessly and without proper attention. After 3 years from 2022 to present he refuse to represent me.
Oh, look—another company that claims one thing and practices another, just like my previous employers that Sessions & Kimball LLP clearly lacks the spine, ethics, intelligence and integrity to stand up against. Do not believe what is written on their webpage: if you have a mental health disability, and you have undeniable proof of its abuse—in addition to other state and federal violations of the law—it doesn't matter. All they care about are optics, just like every other frivolous and profit-hungry hippo that sees humans as transactional units to trade and utilize as needed.
I contacted this law firm over a week ago, have email communications with a paralegal (whom I thought would've had the decency to email me back given their claim of sharing one of my disorders as well), and lo and behold, Heidi clearly can't handle what she read since she asked me to provide her with all of my 150+ emails on Sep. 3, 2025 for review after our consultation that day. It took her until Sep. 15, 2025 to confirm her decision to deny it, despite having the cleanest evidence (that no other firm has even asked to see btw, so that's dubious).
Don't waste your time with them: I'm already moving on, with four separate state and federal complaints filed, and continuing to contact additional law firms when I have the energy to do so, because in addition to dealing with immorality and illegality, I'm still also having to figure out ways to support myself in a country and society whose systemic neglect, ignorance and stupidity toward mental health education and human rights remains egregiously harmful, backward, and pathetic. Clearly, people need a major educational lesson on mental health, but I'm not about to go on a lecture here; there's better platforms for me to do that on in the future.
I couldn't care less if every law firm lacks the intelligence and backbone to stand their ground against immoralities: I don't need nor desire such weaklings in my presence. I'll represent myself, I'll advocate for myself, and I'll defend myself to prove that my peers and I have rights, and are often far better workers (and humans) than the "normal" people who abuse us. You people are the REAL problem in this world, not me—you're just mad that I'm shining a blacklight in your dark and dirty rooms. Well, get ready: the world's got a big storm comin' once I share my story. I refuse to co-create a Catch-22 world that continues to cry for change and then chastises the very people fighting for change. Idiotic cowardice is embarrassingly appalling.
I hope this review helps you in deciding to have the team at Sessions & Kimball LLP represent and truly advocate for you, as they did for me. I had the pleasure of working with Stephen Kimball and Bruce Lee, and my experience with them was nothing short of excellent.
Their professionalism, expertise, integrity, and guidance throughout the entire process made me feel vindicated even before my case officially closed. They were thorough, dedicated, and committed to providing not only a fair and successful resolution, but also lasting reassurance and encouragement.
More than justice, they gave me closure and peace and for that, I am forever grateful. I highly and respectfully recommend their services.
I had the pleasure of working with Larry Herrera and cannot speak highly enough of his professionalism, legal expertise, and dedication to his clients. From our initial consultation, it was clear that Larry possesses a deep understanding of the law and a strong commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes.
He took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explain complex legal concepts in a clear and approachable manner, and develop a thoughtful strategy tailored to my specific situation. Throughout the process, Larry was consistently responsive, thorough, and proactive in keeping me informed every step of the way.
His integrity, attention to detail, and client-first approach made a difficult situation much more manageable. I always felt that my case was in capable hands, and the results reflected that.
I would highly recommend Larry Herrera to anyone in need of a knowledgeable and trustworthy attorney in Orange County. He is a true professional and an exceptional advocate.
Thanks so much to Marcus and Samuel at Sessions and Kimbell! Their representation was professional, efficient and thorough. They kept me in the communication loop consistently and their guidance through the process was spot on. I could not have been more pleased with the results and I'd highly recommend their services to all my friends, family and colleagues.
It was not easy to find a settlement attorney that would take my case right away. I almost gave up.
But I contacted Sessions and Kimball, spoke to Sam Nielson who was honest and straightforward with his insights right from the beginning. He listened carefully with an empathetic ear, was willing to help me and gave me hope to have the right legal representation to fight for my situation.
The attorneys met with me within just a few days, they made me feel comfortable and important.
Upon listening to my testimony, they accepted my case.
Throughout the entire case Sam kept me informed of the progress with realistic expectations as well as making sure I knew I was his highest priority. The end result of the case showed the effectiveness of his negotiations and that I was important to him as a person.
I highly recommend Sessions and Kimball to anyone. Sam defended my case with determination, he treated me with respect and looked for my best interest. He has earned my trust and respect.
I could not have picked a better law firm to come to in such a trying time of my life.
I hope to never be in the same situation but if I do, I would definitely come to Sessions and Kimball once again.
I am grateful for the opportunity to have a new beginning in my life.
Thank you for all you did for me, respectfully.
They were great. Sam (one of the attorneys) at Sessions & Kimball LLP spent an hour with me (complimentary) to help me understand an employment contract. I would recommend them to anyone with any questions related to their employment contract and other labor related questions!
