I hired Skyview - Glen Myers for a custody case after separating from my children’s father following a domestic violence arrest. I have had sole custody for nearly a year, have been paying all expenses myself, and had to move. I needed an attorney who would fight for me and help stabilize my situation. Instead, I spent nearly $25,000 if not more and got very little in return. The modification to the protection order and child support process dragged on so long that I ended up initiating and setting up parts of it myself. Because of the cost and lack of progress, I never even got a parenting plan submitted to the court. Throughout the case, I received frequent threatening emails warning they would drop me as a client if I didn’t pay immediately. The volume of mail and billing notices was overwhelming and difficult to track. Even while I was on a payment plan that made it hard to cover basic living expenses, I was repeatedly pressured to provide thousands more on short notice to maintain the retainer. I understand legal fees are part of the process, but there was little sensitivity to my financial reality or urgency of my situation. When I expressed how desperate my financial and custody situation was, I felt there was no real advocacy for me. The court process continued to drag on, and my request to handle child support through DSHS to save money was not meaningfully addressed. If you hire this firm, be prepared to be VERY financially comfortable, comfortable with a lawyer who may not aggressively fight for you, and comfortable with a team that showed me zero compassion during a domestic violence custody situation. Ironically, my ex’s attorney—who is defending him—has been far more responsive and compassionate while I’ve been submitting documents myself. That alone should tell you something.

Beware, I’m in financial ruin because of this company, they took me for everything they could ran up the bill in a short few months. Paid a massive retainer thinking I was set for a while.. when I say massive I mean twice what I’ve ever been asked for. And it only lasted a few months with no work being done. Then instead of telling me I ran out of my retainer they just sent me a 7000 dollar bill saying they went over and I owed them another 7k. I’m really disappointed in this company I had a good feeling in the beginning but it was wrong. Please stay away

After a six-year, highly contentious custody battle, my husband sought counsel with Skyview Law. As an unmarried, out-of-state father, securing even standard visitation was an uphill fight.
