Not only were Geoff and his team friendly, helpful and professional but they exceeded my expectations when I came to financial compensation. After two years of working hard for my family and I, Geoff, Shannon and Becky were very patient and reassuring even when I was losing hope. Tracy is an excellent addition to the team and brought fresh energy to the Case. 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend. To Geoff, Becky, Shannon and Tracy feel free to call anytime, you'll always have a place at my table.

"Dan" is not who you are looking for. Like most attorneys, it's about money. This law firm took my case against a nursing home in September 2023. "OH, yes! We'll take your case." I only spoke to "Dan" 3 times. I gave them all the video and written evidence against this facility. I, personally, fought FOIA to get an un-redacted report for over a year.
The "Expert" decided "He couldn't prove injury."
When asked if I had any questions, my reply should have been, "How do you sleep at night?"
So, if your loved one is ABUSED in a nursing home, don't try to get them closed down. They are state facilities and get fined over and over and then re-sold.
If your loved one doesn't survive the ABUSE, then you have a case. However, if they do survive the ABUSE, the "Expert" will call it negligence.
What a racket. $$$$ I didn't even want money, just JUSTICE. I will leave that up to God.

As a business owner, it's not if but when, someone will try to take money from you. I was referred to Dan Sorey and his law firm. The best decision i made. His expertise and care are hard to find nowadays but he exemplified both. Thanks again and would definitely recommend them. 5 STARS

When I was lost and had no idea how to handle life moving forward I found Geoff Hoover. I cant tell you what a fantastic lawyer this man is. Him and the entire office (Becky too) did so much out of thier way to make sure we were well taken care of through the entire process. The dedication and work that went into everything they did was amazing. He kept fighting for us. He never gave up or settled for less. I was always kept up to date, included and discussed through every process. Losing a loved one is never easy. But, they made sure to go above and beyond so that we were taken care of. I will always appreciate him and his hard work and his how much he just cares about his clients in general.
THE BEST!! Our case lasted 3 years. Geoff and the staff always took the time to update me whenever I had questions. Becky is great and made us feel like we were part of the family. THANK YOU!!!
We entrusted our case regarding medical malpractice and wrongful death to Sorey & Hoover for nearly a year, believing they would advocate for our family's interests. However, after I reached out to the firm to discuss the possibility of pursuing a claim for gross negligence—based on insights I received from a friend who had a similar experience and was successful with her attorney—we received a decline letter. It is disheartening that my inquiry about a potential legal strategy, which I thought was a reasonable discussion, might have influenced their decision to decline our case. I believe that open communication about our options should be encouraged, especially in such serious matters. My family and I are totally disappointed. My aunt who passed due to negligence at Houston transitional care skilled nursing facility will not get justice. My family and I will have to go on and live on with this hurt in our heart that nothing was done about the death of my aunt. My family and I did seek new representation, but due to the time constraints, no one will take the case. I hope this review helps and be informative to those who are seeking honest, thoughtful, considerate representation. Be blessed

Best law firm hands down! Our case lasted over five years, but the entire staff was always helpful whenever I had questions. We ended up going to trial and Becky and Shannon made sure everything went smoothly for me. Since I had to travel over three hours to be in Longview, I stayed at a hotel and didn’t know the area; Everyone gave amazing recommendations for stuff while I was there. I almost ran out of clothes and Shannon was nice enough to offer her own wardrobe! (You can’t beat that!)
Dan was always a phone call or text away and made sure I was aware of what was going on throughout the process. I was lucky enough to meet Geoff the day my trial started and was very appreciative of how he guided me through the trial to keep me from being too worried. We ended up settling the case for more than we expected and I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to end the case the way we did.
By the end of the week I was there, I was so glad to have them with me and they felt more like a family than a law firm. I would 1,000% recommend this team for any one needing a lawyer!
If you need an attorney, do yourself a favor and call Dan Sorey. You will not be sorry. Mr. Sorey, or Dan as he prefers to be called, represented our family through both a court case and the appeal. I could spend time explaining how nice he and his staff are and how great they were during the pre-trial meetings, phone calls and emails, but that is the easy part of litigation. They were, in fact, GREAT during that period, but that means nothing if they aren't prepared to face the opposing lawyers and be able to understand the nuances of your particular case and explain them to a jury. Jury trials are hard, because two sides are presenting opposing information and a jury has to believe one and not believe the other. Trust me when I tell you, you want Dan Sorey telling the jury your side. He is nothing short of amazing in-front of a jury! It is difficult to explain just brilliantly he presented our case. He rebutted not only the other side's witnesses, but the other attorney arguments with ease. He destroyed them. Completely. He had a plan, he worked the plan to perfection and was always at least 2 steps in front of everyone else in the room. If you need an attorney, call Dan. You will not be sorry. I, personally, can't thank him and his entire staff enough.
One problem everyone complains about with attorneys is communication. That has NEVER been an issue for me with Sorey & Hoover. They always respond quickly. They are always friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommend!
If you ever need any legal work done I highly recommend Sorey & Hoover law firm. I was in a car accident and I found this law firm when goggling. Believe me when I say it was the best decision I could have made. If you want someone that goes to bat for you endlessly this is your firm. If ever in need again, I surely know where I will be going.
