He has been a good lawyer for us, we have known him for alotta years and feel he does a good job for us.

If I could give zero stars I would. Spent 5000 in total and he did absolutely nothing to help me. He kept promising to ask for more visitation time with my child and never once did so. He would never show up to court in person even after the judge told him he needed to be present. The biggest waste of money I've ever spent. Do not retain Bruce for a child custody case. Worst attorney in Bakersfield. He only cares about the money not about a mother trying to see her child.

Handled a criminal case I had when I was 18 so poorly, told me I would be out in February and that I wouldn’t be going to prison, ended up going to prison and didn’t get released until November the next year, not once did he come visit me at the jail and talk about my case, completely railroaded me. I would have rather gone with a public defender because I would have gotten the same outcome. Worst Lawyer in Bakersfield Award goes to you Mr. South I wish you nothing but the worst in life.

If I could 0 stars I would. Charged me $2500 for the rest of my divorce and custody. Did not show to child support court as promised and they awarded everything to my ex. He did not fight for me at all. After court he yelled at me in the hallway. Told me that he refuses to help me and is no longer my attorney. I was a mother in agony over the lack of visitation with my children that just needed some to help. I was in so much emotional agony and pain. He is unprofessional, mean, and he lies. He seems so nice at first and reels you in. Then you see the real side of him. He is unpredictable and reckless. I suspected he was using some sort of substance. Do yourself a favor and spend the money on a lawyer who cares and will fight for you! I chose George Horrigan and could not be happier with the money I spent to retain him!!!

I absolutely loved him. He was pleasant to speak to and very helpful. I actually dropped my keys in the gap by the elevator and the floor and he ran upstairs and got a hanger and fished them out. Then the property manager got ahold of the elevator company and I got a piece of my key back that had fallen out that I needed to start my car. He is prompt and to the point. I loved that.

WORST LAWYER EVER!!! Didn't defend me in court, dragged out a simple divorce for two years! It took TWO years to get my divorce ( I asked for nothing, no Alamony, no equity out of our home, nothing I just wanted to walk away with nothing) he dragged it out so he could get his entire retainer. Ridiculous!! So nice when I met with him for the first time after that no help! In fact he was friends with my ex's lawyer and they pitted us agianist each other. They high fived at the court house, it was so unprofessional. I would HIGHLY recommend you do not hire this guy For family law RIP OFF!!!
