I wanted this to be good a experience. She was referred to me by my coworker. We’re not in the military and I trusted him. Being a woman of color, I try to support other black women. She didn’t start the process with me but came in at the end. I felt like I could trust her and the communication seemed good. I closed on my house September of this year. By March I discovered my house had two open permits from the 1980’s that I wasn’t aware of at the time of closing. I called everyone that was part of the closing process. I was informed I should reach out to my lawyer who would work with me to get it closed. She let me know it was on the title company that was as far as it went. Now the title company is telling me I need to speak with her. I feel like I’m doing more work than both of them. She’s been paid so she has no interest in figuring it out. Very disappointed.
