Buck was amazing. My ex filed that I didn’t update my address with BON and added false claims against my license while we were going through a divorce and kept threatening me with my license. When I got the letter I called buck and he explained the process and allowed me to make payments. He filed a quick response after asking me sending over everything showing it was my ex making these claims. The BON took forever but buck was kind and patient every time I asked for an update and understood this was a major stressor. The case was closed and expunged thanks to him. Even if your case seems simple I would recommend Buck because this is your license, your livelihood and that wasn’t something I was willing to gamble on. Made the mistake of hiring an attorney a year or so ago without asking any questions. I paid $5000 upfront and found out that attorney had no clue what to do or how to advise me. I spent 1 year on probation for something I didnt do and still dont know if I could get my record cleared. The attorney then quit the law firm immediately after my case so I wasn't even able to follow up with him (no one knows where to find him). Fast forward to me trying to hire this attorney Buck Johnson spoke with me, I sent him the letter from the TBON and he gave me a price. I then spoke to another attorney who was a bit more expensive but requested ALL documents be sent to her including my response from 3 years ago and evidence BEFORE taking any money to see if she could actually help me as to not waste my money. I hadn't had a chance to follow up with that attorney, but figured id follow up with Buck Johnson to see if he wanted to review ALL of the information before receiving payment as well and discuss potential outcomes so I wouldn't waste money again like I did a year ago. He became upset and said if I was that concerned then "he wasn't the right person for me". To think I would give a stranger that amount of money without first knowing a plan ever again is crazy. I get I needed the help but I also have a right to interview attorneys before just dishing out thousands of dollars. His fee was $5000. $2500 upfront and $500 a month until paid off.

I am very please to say Buck Johnson was there for me in my time of need. If anyone ever needs legal advice/counsel when dealing with the Board of Nursing I highly recommend him. You want someone who is experienced and will give you what you need, these are the lawyers right here. My review could not express the feeling of having everything explained and that you would be okay. Don’t waste your time with the lawyer from Houston, Ms Goodall and Mr Johnson were far more helpful and courteous. Do yourself a favor and give these professionals a call.

I was represented by Deborah and Buck. I received a ridiculous complaint I was unsure how to defend with the board of nursing. I've talked my way out of traffic tickets but that was not going to work with the board. I was sure there was a way to handle the case with no actions against my license but if you dont have an attorney, everything can easily snowball into a catastrophic outcome with one wrong move or saying the wrong thing. I hired this duo because I was scared adverse actions would happen even if I thought my case was defendable. The case dragged on for months but Deborah did not give up and in the end my name was totally cleared and the proceedings expunged. I would highly recommend these attorneys.

I truly don’t know where to start this! I was in a very bad place. I had made a terrible mistake, which caused me to be in a position to fight for my career.
