I Called to get help and Neil Good was rude when I answer the phone didn’t say hello this Neil good from just start asking questions! He over talked me I couldn’t get a word in very unprofessional… wasn’t trying to hear me out at all! He didn’t care that’s how he made me feel.. not good at all! I didn’t feel unheard he was just rude and just because someone has kids doesn’t mean they are at home playing house! It is a real struggle for me and on a day to day my kids are blessing!😊 just because someone looks good on the outside don’t mean they are on the inside! 😏 I’m not trying to live off the government an I didn’t ask to have MS! I recently worked with Shawn, and he was our attorney for both our sale and purchase of our home. One thing about myself is that I like to get the very best of everything that I am able too. But I don't have the money to afford the very best, but with this Law Firm I did get the very best that money could buy. I always thought I needed to have Trump kind of money to hire the best lawyers for myself, but I did not need that kind of money to hire them. Regardless of my money they went above and beyond what I thought they would do for me. When I hired this law firm I knew I was getting great lawyers, but I never expected to receive the amount of respect and care they had given to me, I for sure had found the very best of lawyers that money could buy without having to have a bank account like Trump!! So, first, I'll say that I typically don't really write reviews. Maybe I've written two in my lifetime. I don't have the time and it's not normally my thing. That said I am taking the time because I think it's vital that people know about Shawn Good. Without going into too much detail, Shawn represented my daughter in a disability case. My daughter is in her late 20's and has suffered terribly her whole life with mental illness. It has been a tragedy for our whole family. Because of mental illness my daughter has made mistakes and the court system does not understand nor is it very tolerant at all with people who suffer with mental illness. (That's a whole other speech.) If you yourself are mentally ill or have a loved one who is, you know mental illness is a unseen, misunderstood and debilitating handicap. It is completely misunderstood by the general public and people are penalized repeatedly because they are mentally ill. Help is so hard to find. Shawn represented my daughter so she could be declared disabled (I'm unfamiliar with all the legal terms) and he won the case. Now, the fact he won, alone, is a huge big deal. While it certainly won't make my daughter rich nor even support her, it will help her to at least to have a fresh start. You may think that's enough but Shawn did so much more... Let me explain my perception and experience with Shawn in the very brief time I have known him. He is a passionate advocate for the mentally ill. Today he met us at court, on his own dime, to support my daughter during her criminal case. He wasn't asked to do this, he offered. Shawn has gone way, way above the call of duty and has been genuine, honest, sincere and deeply caring to my daughter, me and our situation. He's been professional, prompt and fair...way more than fair. His staff have been down-to-Earth, respectful, professional and kind. I do hesitate saying some of this because sometimes if a person is too nice they are sometimes taken advantage of and I'd hate to see that happen to Shawn simply because he's one of those rare attorney's (in my opinion) who care deeply and go well above and beyond the call of duty. Today, when I saw Shawn in action...professional, deeply caring, courteous, respectful and loving (yes, I said loving about a lawyer...I know doesn't seem possible...) I said to him, "why are you doing this?" He said (not exactly in his words) "because I hate to see people taken advantage of." It was clear by what else he said that he wants justice for the underdog, it makes him furious when people are taken advantage of. I told him that he should do something to change the way things are now for the mentally ill. I told him he needs to somehow change the laws, make things better for people like my daughter. (Maybe I was thinking too big in that moment, maybe that was a long conversation we didn't have time for...) But he would be the guy. Maybe some day he will... All he asked in return for what he did for us was "can you write a google review? That would really help." So that's how and why I am writing this. If you knew me you'd know I am an honest, forthright, professional business woman who has been around the block many times. I run numerous small businesses and have a keen sense and intuition about people when I meet them. Shawn is good people. Good name for a good person. I say this honestly and sincerely. Thanks Shawn. Meeting a young person like Shawn gives me just a spark of hope for our future.
