In my case, Curtis absolutely did not fight the way I would have liked a lawyer to fight in court after having put down thousands upon thousands. I hired him 8/2022 and pleaded to him that I needed child support to be reduced asap because I was getting it based off overtime that I was no longer able to do. It took about a year to finally get it reduced. He kept saying to wait till the divorce settlement was finalized. He did not speak once during the recorded session until I had to remind him of what we agreed to say. He did not mention anything to the judge about my ex lying in court about the custody agreement we had agreed to outside of court. Lastly, I based my decision of giving the ex the entire house because of debt she had incurred. There were pages blacked out on debt my ex alleged she had and he said, “Oh yeah that happens sometimes when pages get faxed over. I asked him point blank, “ Did you make sure this debt was before we got separated?” He replied,” yes I checked it”. I found out this was false because Best Buy Credit Card had $38,000 on it and there was only a couple of thousand after we separated. Curtis does not do his due diligence as an attorney and does not speak up in court to the judge when you ask him to say your side. This was my experience and my suggestion is to find another attorney!

Curtis and Jackie are a very proven effective team for my divorce case, we re-open a case and Jackie worked into the details of my past divorce judgment and Curtis really presented to judge I deserved half of everything from my ex-wife, I’ve always thought the woman gets everything in the state of California! With that in mind, I began my search for someone who was worthy of listening to my concerns, preparing the necessary paperwork in a timely manner, and then going to court and battle for custody of my children. Curtis has delivered the goods. Curtis and I have had numerous phone and in person conversations. Curtis will focus on the important items to discuss that are relevant to my case. Curtis has turned in all paperwork and documents when needed and has never missed a deadline. In the courtroom, Curtis is "solid" and focused. Curtis maintains a high level of professionalism, has good rapport with the judge, and asks the appropriate questions in a manner that is not demeaning or condescending. Although I have another court date ahead, and not by Curtis' choice (Curtis has tried to resolve the matter numerous times), I have no hesitation to returning to court having Curtis represent me and my children.
