I had an excellent experience working with Attorney Derek Eisemann and Paralegal Tonya. They were helpful, easy to reach, and always responded quickly. Their guidance made the process smooth and worry-free. Highly recommended.
Terrible presenter.
This guy was never prepared. We had a homeowner purchasing a house from us that out waited him out, stepped him in every turn. The issue still not resolved since then someone has been shot and murdered in the house in Sarasota, Florida. We fired him. He would respond to the very last minute or not respond at all This person saying he says that he set the standard for communication is an absolute joke. He must be a friend he is that’s not true what we found as we constantly called him. He’s always too busy. It’s not that we had a bad relationship with him. We use the firm in the past as uncle passed away this guy did not help us at all now we have even a bigger problem. It’s been going on for closer to two years getting a person out of a property that has not paid us in over two years. This attorney did not help us one bit.

May I first say that I am sorry that you are frustrated with the process. I reviewed the case file and from the date of filing the foreclosure we obtained a final judgment of foreclosure in 5 1/2 months. It is unfortunate that the day before the sale date your purchaser filed a federal bankruptcy. In case you are unaware, upon that filing of suggestion of bankruptcy all state court matters are automatically stayed which means that it is not our firm that delayed the completion of the foreclosure but rather the Federal Bankruptcy Code. I completely understand your frustration with the process and how the bankruptcy rules have prevented you from finishing the foreclosure process. In April 2024, your purchaser filed the suggestion of bankruptcy in the state court matter being handled by our firm. At that point we advised you that our firm does not handle bankruptcy matter related to lifting the automatic stay and you hired another firm to handle that process. Therefore any delays resulting from your purchaser taking advantage of the bankruptcy rules was not based upon delays at our firm nor the purchaser waiting us out or stepping on us as you indicated. In fact, our firm filed a proposed motion for default less than 2 months after filing the complaint. Additionally, following the initial bankruptcy matter coming to a conclusion, the firm hired for bankruptcy related matters filed a notice of appearance in the state Foreclosure matter, and was involved with foreclosure case including resetting the Foreclosure sale date, which was unfortunately cancelled and stayed again as a result of the purchaser filing and initiating a second bankruptcy. I do appreciate your frustration and very much sympathize with you. Unfortunately, the delays are not a result of our firm not processing the file but rather the defendant/purchaser taking advantage of the Federal Bankruptcy laws to delay the process and we as lawyers are bound to follow the Federal and State laws and Court Rules applicable to your case. With the foregoing being said we hope you will reconsider your 1-star review as you may now understand that the delays were not a result of actions by this firm. Thank You and we do wish you all the best.

Michael, Tonya and Kim are an amazing team! The transaction went very smooth, communication is clear and prompt, and being at the closing table was a piece of cake... (or in this case, a Piece of Brownie!!) you have to try the brownies! The office is easy to get to, convenient location, and beautiful. You can definitely feel confident that your transaction is handled thoroughly and professionally! I will be utilizing them again!
