Compare these against any other firm you're considering — most attorneys have only two or three themes reviewers consistently return to.
How we compiled this: CrashStory aggregates public Google reviews, Colorado crash records from CDOT and local agencies, and firm-provided profile data. We do not endorse any firm. Review intelligence scores are derived from automated sentiment and theme analysis of public reviews — treat them as one signal among many, not a verdict.

I found Brian through NOLO and I am so glad he was the name I chose. He went above and beyond to fix the mistakes I made when creating a living trust on my own. NOT A GOOD IDEA! I would still be in a mess without him.

Mr. Fox gave me the straight and narrow and did not try to take my money just to profit. He listened to me and gave me great non-legal advice because my situation didn’t require legal action. I wasn’t sure until I spoke with home. His kindness and professionalism were very much appreciated.

I was not able to get representation from him due to it just being a small claims matter. However, he did give me a lot of helpful tips on how I should handle the case for when I go into court. Since I have no experiences with legal claims or court cases he walked me though exactly what to do as far as where to go, how to file, who to go after, and what to bring to court. He was very understanding and compassionate about my situation. After getting his legal advice I feel a lot more confident about my case coming up!
Owner response
Thank you for allowing me to assist you, Keisha. In California, attorneys are not legally permitted to appear in Small Claims court matters unless they are representing a corporation or themselves. However, that does not preclude my helping clients like you completely prepare themselves to do a great job representing themselves in court. By taking the time to explain who the judge is, what to say, who to subpoena to appear, what evidence to bring, and how to organize to win a case, I can give you the confidence to go in and do a good job. I think you will do a great job in Small Claims court.

We were being sued in small claims court for something we didn't do. We were very nervous. We didn't know what to say or how to protect ourselves against a blatant lie. We got an appointment with Mr. Fox, and he was a tremendous help. He told us what the strengths of our case were, how present it, what the rules in small claims court were, and he answered a million questions. He brought up the things the other side might say and told us how to answer them. He told us how judges think and how to word things to get the judge's attention. He explained how to be patient when the other side is speaking and how to address their lies when it is our turn to speak again. When we left Mr. Fox's office, we felt much more calm, we were equipped with a game plan and ready to tackle the situation. Our court date is still in the future, but we are very happy with Mr. Fox's help. We will certainly contact Mr. Fox again if we have any future legal problems and we highly recommend him.
Owner response
Mr. and Mrs. Potter, thank you. Litigation, be it as serious as a Superior Court lawsuit or as simple as a small claims case can be an anxiety inducing experience. The job of a good attorney is not only knowing the law, but is also remembering that we are all people with lives, families, jobs, hopes and dreams, and the legal process may cause us to worry about these things important to our lives. A good attorney should guide you through the litigation process with the objective of explaining it in a way that helps relieve anxiety by education, preparation, and reassurance. Educated clients are good clients and good litigants.

Quick, friendly, and very knowledgeable about California business law. My wife and I were seeking assistance to move our business from out-of-state. Brian helped get our S-Corp set up quickly and connected us to other local resources in Ventura to get off the ground running. Recommended for any needs related to business law in the state of California.
