I retained Matthew Rabban to handle an urgent and nasty landlord-tenant legal matter. While he did conduct some initial review and signed me up, there was no real effort to advocate for me, resolve my case, or gather concrete facts before abruptly withdrawing. He made premature assumptions and never contacted the opposing party to understand their side or negotiate on my behalf. He dropped my case just one week after I hired him, leaving me exposed and unsupported at a critical time. I’ve since suffered irreparable damages because of his lack of diligence and follow-through. The most alarming part? His office does not carry malpractice insurance, and the retainer contract requires that any malpractice claims be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration — not in court.
