Arranging care for an elderly parent is difficult and emotional enough...but when you add the complexities of obtaining long-term care into the mix, the stress can be overwhelming. Several years ago, he set up a Family Asset Protection Trust, which successfully allowed my mother to qualify for Community Medicaid shortly after she was admitted to an Assisted Living Program. They did my mothers will so that there was only one executor when there should have been two executives per my mom's instructions when they were called. They didn't want to talk about anything. All they wanted was a consultation fee. That's my experience and it wasn't a good one
