The worst law firm. To speak with attorney Manuel Portera, they charge $100, but after I explained my case, he charged me $350 and did absolutely nothing. The only thing he did was send me an email where I could enter my information. He didn't help me with what I needed. Terrible service.

Mr. Portela is the best!! He went out of his way to defend my husband with his criminal case. Got the charges dropped and resolved in a few months. Very professional and respectful. His staff works hard to get the results you want. Couldn’t have asked for a better lawyer. After calling and searching almost every attorney in NYC, we are so happy that we went with Mr. Portela. I was there just this afternoon, I waited for the lawyer 2 hours and paid 100 dollars for a consultation. I called earlier in the morning and let them know that i need an appeal lawyer. When i got the chance to speak with Portela he told me that he doesn’t handle appeals, but for him to read the trial transcript will charge me 3000 dollars, just to give me his opinion. I spent 20 to 25 minutes in there, which i think he just listens to me because he didn’t have any option. So i went home thinking that i just waisted 100 dollars, because he isn’t what i was looking for. So i called later, and they give me a call back , and when I told her who i was , she said miss we only handle emergency call, which I think is ok. But her tone was insane, so unprofessional. I really think that all this reviews are fake… I will report the payment to my bank., because i will never want to hear that girl again.
