I first met attorney Andrew Sexton in 2019 when he guided a friend of mine through a difficult financial situation. My friend spoke so highly of him that when we decided to establish a trust, we immediately turned to Andrew. Working with him on such an important matter has been an absolute pleasure. His calm demeanor, deep expertise in trust and estate law, and steady confidence put us at ease from the start. He carefully listened to our needs and requests, thoughtfully incorporating each one into our trust documents. Our revisions were extensive, including the added complexity of creating a secondary trust within our primary trust. What gave me a five star experience was Dianna Flores!! She is calm, collected and really on top of her work! Dianna responded to my questions quickly and has a really nice demeanor. The added hell in general I got from the great experience at Sexton Law Firm was additional aid in me having to go back to school for a career change. My life is better because I chose Sexton Law Firm and even better because I got to work with Dianna Flores :) Oh and it might have taken a longer time than expected to get my resolve, but the outcome was more than I expected and definitely believe it is because of the experience and wisdom. I’ve been a client for about a year, and my experience has been very mixed. Communication is poor — when you call your case manager, they rarely answer, and voicemails often go unreturned. Calls get routed around multiple times before anyone picks up, and if you want to speak directly to your case manager, you usually have to schedule through the receptionist. It’s can be challenging to reach an attorney. Before they’ll connect you, they always ask why you’re calling, which made me feel like a bother rather than a valued client. Several important things that were promised to happen urgently were either delayed or not done at all, and when I asked about the gaps, my questions were ignored or deflected. Even after a year, communication about settlement progress is unclear. I was told a hearing request would be submitted right away, only to find out a week later it hadn’t been filed yet. I eventually requested a new case manager because follow-through was consistently slow. My claim was finally accepted almost a year after opening it, but the process has been exhausting. I’ve had to follow up constantly because updates are rarely provided unless I ask. I’m now out of state disability funds and waiting on a hearing date for temporary benefits, but I’m not allowed to call or assist with the process — even though delays leave me without pay. At this point, I’m just hoping and praying nothing else falls through the cracks. Maybe my experience isn’t typical since many other reviews are positive, but for me, the lack of communication, delays, and uncertainty have made this process far more stressful than it needed to be.
