Please be sure to read the entire retainer agreement & please be sure to request for an attorney to go over all legal documents especially the retainer agreement before you sign with them. Also, make sure you request copies for yourselves and that they are all signed by your attorney. You may inquire ithat the attorneys fees may be lowered before you retain them & please keep in mind that everything maybe negotiated. I do recommend you to call around to other firms before retaining them for it is your right to inquire to other firms how they will fight for you so you can learn which attorney is best to help with your legal need. Key note here - unless the liability has been denied on your claim, please inquire & let them articulate to you or have them send to you in writing how they can help win your case so you will have a clear understanding as to the roadmap of your case. Please be aware that once your case do settle, soon as the checks are received in their office then deposited, the attorneys fees are taken out right away while they are still working to wrap up your case. Please ask when the check was received on your file and please inquire as to how soon you will receive your portion of the settlement.
