I was referred to Bernie through my job's EAP platform when looking for an attorney for my custody case. Right away, everything was quick, easy, and ultimately seamless. I received a link to schedule my consultation, which Bernie was prompt for. He immediately came across as calm, level-headed, and caring. He's also pretty funny, which is seemingly very rare in an attorney. I quickly met his paralegal, Debbie, who was beyond responsive. Other than during another client's trial, I believe every single email was responded to within an hour or so. (My case has been with them for about 7ish months now - that's a lot of emails.) Debbie is also very quick with paperwork and is clear about what is needed and why I needed it. Bernie has represented me in two hearings and has accomplished exactly what I set out for, which I truly believe to be the best outcome for my son, and ultimately both me and my co-parent as well, despite what the co-parent might believe in this moment. Additionally, what made this experience attainable for me, is that Bernie does not require a retainer, just on-time weekly payments for services rendered. This was exponentially helpful so I could keep up and even in slower parts of my case, I could navigate when I chose to send communications, making it more 'affordable' for me. I truly had the best experience with both Debbie and Bernie throughout this case and when circumstances change again for my family, I will certainly work with Bernie and Debbie again. Bernie and his team are really supportive. They helped me with my legal situation in 2022-2023. He is a really responsive lawyer, and he avoid delays and misunderstandings. He shows flexibility and his team has willingness to collaborate to review invoices, documentation, and discrepancies. I do have constructive feedback to ensure the facts, storyline, evidence are well reviewed and prepared prior the hearing. We know that we have limited time to make a case, but you need to trust your attorney's expertise that he studied really well your case. Bernie and his team were really organized, responsive, and flexible to successfully complete my legal case.

Absolutely the worst , inefficient , incompetent representation from Bernie. He came unprepared to hearing and made key mistakes that totally changed the outcome of hearing. * He is not interested in solving issues of contention. * For every piece of work done by paralegal [ who's timesheet is accurate for the work ] , Bernie adds another timesheet for himself for same time as paralegal. This resulted in inflated time and expense to client. With no visible outcome for the work done by him. * He charged for hearing preparation on key data , but totally appeared unprepared and made false representation to Judge. Once he made that mistake , hearing went south. * He also jumped in at times with useless input that further upset the Judge. For anyone going with Bernie , can be assured to waste money . He is absolutely not interested in solving issues but adds processes to drag and complicate. Wish google had negative rating. Not even worth 1 for the damage he has caused to the client.

Update: Yes, I said this because, in my opinion, I would not retain him ever again. He once said he represents the children, not me. Not the person that retained him. In my opinion, I would hire a more partial attorney to represent you.
