Was in a car accident a few years back, and realize now the attorney that I had never negotiated terms for my accident. Didn’t tell me about the offer just told me this is the best you’re going to get. Even though I needed more physical therapy after I was paid out. Walked away with $7k after an off duty firefighter ran the red light into my car and totaled it, I ended up in hospital, arm in a sling and a concussion. SMH the paralegal was great everyone else not so much. Spent the next month out of work and had to do more physical therapy just to get back to work. Couldn’t purchase a car with the 7k so ended up on the bus with two kids.

I reached out to this firm through my employer’s Employee Assistance Program seeking legal guidance on a housing and civil rights matter. Unfortunately, this was the second time I consulted with an attorney here and walked away feeling unheard, dismissed, and poorly advised. Despite having court documentation and explaining the procedural history of my case, I was repeatedly interrupted and told I was “wrong” without a clear explanation grounded in the law. When I attempted to reference Connecticut housing statutes regarding transient versus non-transient residency, I was cut off with “I already know, you don’t need to read me anything,” which made it clear my perspective was not being taken seriously. I also raised serious concerns involving police conduct and the impact on my child. While the attorney acknowledged that the situation was troubling, there was no meaningful guidance, advocacy, or willingness to explore potential civil rights implications. The response felt dismissive rather than supportive. I specifically requested to speak with a female attorney and was instead contacted by a male attorney, which added to my overall frustration, especially given how condescending the interaction felt. This firm presents itself as highly awarded and client-focused, but my experience did not reflect that reputation. I left feeling that my case was minimized and that meaningful advocacy was avoided. If you are seeking a firm willing to listen carefully, take complex situations seriously, and provide thorough legal analysis, I recommend proceeding with caution.

Dave Kritzman was hired to handle two cases for us but had to be fired after he didn't show up to court three times (hard to believe, yes, and if we weren't there to see it or have the paperwork backing that up, we wouldn't have believed it ourselves as that's unheard of) in a row while calling for continuances without informing us beforehand and he would make very inappropriate comments to my then girlfriend and other friends while waiting at the courthouse usually about how he thinks he's worth more money. Such a disheartening experience.

I used Attorney Joshua Schulman several years ago, and I apologize for not writing a review sooner. I had a tricky situation where I had hired a contractor to do a Kitchen Renovation in which I had given a 12K down-payment...I know, I know, not a good thing to do, but at that time I felt that this contractor was trustworthy, had decent reviews and he and his team talked a good talk and you guessed it - he/they were not trustworthy people and I got taken. He was a scheister/ripoff. I finally had to get an attorney, and was able to get Attorney Joshua Schulman - he went to bat for me, and worked the case successfully. In my estimation, he was a true gem, and didn't give up, gave me confidence that it would work out, and I let him do his job. It did costs me a few dollars, but for me it was about ethics, principle and the fact this man was cheating me out of 12K since he had already spent it. I would recommend Joshua Schulman any day - he was professional, and diligent - and the front office employees are great. Atty Schulman did right and good by me - and I recommend him and his team wholeheartedly. Sorry this review is late - but if you need a good lawyer - I recommend him for sure.

Attorney Joshua Shulman of the Law Firm, Beck & Eldergill was hired in July of 2019 to litigate a civil matter that was in an area usually specialized Attorneys handle- Music Industry. We built a ‘Sound for Film’ Recording Facility all throughout 2019 and in the early stages we’d negotiated an agreement with the owner of another out of state studio, for a rare ‘recording Console’ as well as all the peripherals needed for it to operate. We’d reached an agreement ( we thought ) after two long phone conversations and many, many e-mails for the purchase, delivery and initial training by the other litigant. The agreement by the ‘other’ party was for a 50% deposit against the putting together of the basic system for ‘our workflow’ ( all Studio’s do things differently ) as well as the delivery of 2 to 2-1/2 months hence, to our location., the balance to be paid upon delivery/training as well as all ‘travel expenses’ paid by ourselves. We were lied to on many occasions and as time went on.. the other litigant became more & more ambiguous and when the month came that our new facility was completed- we requested the ‘agreed upon’ delivery- and were met with ‘every excuse in the book!’ The following month after we should have received delivery, the other litigant had the gall to request another 25% of the entire agreed upon full price( which HE had come up with months earlier ) and we of course.. balked! But feeling that our equipment was in essence ‘being held hostage’ we relented and sent the additional funds. And got? Nothing.. So? I hired Attorney Shulman and firm to represent us in a civil action. I have dealt with Attorneys both general law and specializations such as Music Business Attorneys and initially, we did not feel that Attorney Shulman really understood the complexities and uniqueness of our case. But, as time went on… while we sometimes felt we had to keep ‘proving’ our case with certain irrefutable evidence, Attorney Shulman we saw, started to really delve into the complexities of our case. Let’s face it.. Attorneys are very busy people who often are balancing many cases from many clients, some very complicated and taxing. We saw Attorney Shulman rise to the occasion and litigate our case to the point that it was explained to us ( actually from the beginning ) that filing a case against another person, or company that is not in our state.. can be costly, lengthy and in the event a judgment was to be in our favor- would then require the hiring of an Attorney in the other litigants state to pursue the judgment! We saw that Attorney Shulman, after handling our case for 15 months was working towards, and did accomplish a ‘settlement’ ( not an easy thing considering the ‘interstate factor’ of our lawsuit ).. in an effort to save us ‘continued Attorney fee’s’, potential court costs and additional Attorneys fee’s & costs in the future if a Court Judgment went in our favor. And so the end result was that things worked out as well as they could- considering the complicated aspects of our case. We highly recommend Attorney Shulman and the firm of Beck & Eldergill P.C. and we are satisfied Attorney Shulman and Firm worked hard with our best interests at heart.
