Talk about putting the cart before the horse. $150 consultation fee. That consultation is just to see if they would be willing to take the case. Sounds like cherry picking to me. Read Reviews. Its like saying that their time is more valuable then someone else's time. NEVER PAY FOR A CONSULTATION FEE!
Owner response
Jason, many service industries offer “free” consults, evaluations or bids as a classic way to get their foot in the door and upsell you on how “great” their services are. We don’t. This fee ensures you receive a dedicated, professional analysis of your case the moment you walk in. We are not looking to waste your time or ours. While others use the free consult to convince you to hire them, we use a paid consult to get to work for our future client. Best of luck.

I had an outstanding experience working with attorney Wyatt and Ely.They are excellent to work with!! They are genuine kind people, professional, responsive and deep knowledgeable in family matters. Wyatt is a strong and dedicated advocate who approaches every case with focus. His preparation and commitment are evident, he consistently goes above and beyond to pursue the best possible outcome. Together Wyatt and Ely make a reliable and effective legal team, truly trustworthy and exceptional at what they do.
Spencer Ricks and his paralegal Liz Hilst, made a fantastic team while working through my divorce case. Liz was always quick to relay information and reply back. I was up front in visiting with Spencer and gave him no surprises. Spencer set realistic expectations based on the law and his experience. I wish my Ex's attorney had been like this with her. He sold her on everything she wanted to hear. Lofty demands from her, caused me anxiety and more questions, but Spencer stayed his course and the mediation went accordingly. I also felt that the Mediator gave respect to Spencer's arguments. A Mediator's respect is huge.
I clearly had the better of the two attorneys (even though her attorney was more expensive). So my best advise is be up front and honest with Spencer during your initial meeting and then let him and Liz go to work for you.
I had the pleasure to work with Brad Carr.
Carr & Woodall has a professional office setting throughout the office. The front desk admins were cordial and friendly. I scheduled our first appointment, and he greeted me warmly and professionally. He is highly well-liked from the start. Our meeting went smoothly.
Brad is extremely knowledgeable about Utah laws and the judicial court systems. He has more than several hearings in a week and handles a wide range of cases. He is a good and attentive listener and caught on to the matter I shared from the start. Brad was quick at picking up on the circumstances I explained despite the matter being complex, deep, and difficult to follow.
He advised and directed me to the right path and what actions we will take based on the case we went over. Right then and there, I knew based on my instinct he is ‘My attorney’ and I chose the right law firm to represent me. He knows what course of action is best based on what was discussed and he also advised me that with cases, I can anticipate a hiccup also.
I appreciate his honesty and integrity. He valued my time and got right to the issue of the matter. He has excellent PC skills, and software knowledge with the court system. He works quickly, efficiently, and diligently. Additionally, he is a sharp and skillful attorney. I have complete trust and confidence in all that he does from start to finish to handle my case.
He is an experienced attorney that you and your family can count on, and he is fantastic to work with. Brad is a knowledgeable professional lawyer .
If integrity-trust-service are what you and your family are looking for, Carr & Woodall is the law office.
I would highly recommend Carr & Woodall to business associates, friends, neighbors, and families. Carr & Woodall lived up to its name. Brad Carr is the best family law attorney I have ever worked with.
An exceptional law firm is one that is successful, provides red carpet client service, focuses on legal issues big or small, quality of legal advice, and the firm is recognized in their work and in their community, embraces problems and different situations and has a team to meet their firm’s mission and goals.
Brad Carr, Carr & Woodall is that firm. Results are key and fundamental elements.
I hired Jacob Arijanto to represent me in my divorce in November 2024. Both him and his paralegal Nicole were great at responding to my emails quickly, answering all my questions and looking out for my best interest. My divorce was long, drawn out and things kept getting changed by my ex. Jacob was patient with all of these changes and would always advise me if it was in my best interest to move forward with these changes. I can’t thank him enough for all that he did to support me. My divorce is officially finalized and I owe it all to Jacob & Nicole. Thank you for going above and beyond for me!
Camille was a real advocate for me. She was supportive through the hardest time I have ever had In my life. I can't thank her enough. She was prompt and responsive when I needed it. She was honest about out comes and real expectations, her paralegals were also amazing. Thank you.
Edit per response. As I said, I paid for my daughter. I would think an intelligent attorney would realize the case was in her name and not mine. The one star is for Camille. I paid attorney fees for my daughter's case. This was a divorce. Camille did not do anything to verify the claim of the husband/father's income and the courts took his claim of income and awarded child support of $35.00 for two children. Camille also did nothing to verify his claims of assets.

The only Vicki Smith we have a connection with is a Vicki Smith we evicted in case 21-0902933. This was an opposing party, not a client. The outcome was a success for our client, hence the one-star review from the other party.
Camille was great! She took on my wife's case on short notice. She was very compassionate and understanding towards the situation. She was able to get a resolution quickly and without unnecessary time and trouble. I highly recommend her for whatever your legal needs are.
Camille was incredible. She stepped in with very little time to familiarize herself with my case and still provided exceptional support through an exhausting and stressful situation. She remained professional while also being kind, approachable, and genuinely compassionate. Her competence and confidence gave me a strong sense of reassurance throughout the process. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking skilled and compassionate legal representation.
This was my second time using Carr Woodall and they are an amazing company. Spencer Ricks and Paralegal Liz are absolutely fabulous. They did a great job communicating, and completing my case very quickly without any drama or false expectations. I will continue to use them with any needed future help.
Please don’t hesitate reaching out to them for your needs also.
