Not great at communicating during the case. I went a full month with no response despite multiple calls and emails. I eventually had to contact the main office to get someone to reply, instead of being able to reach my direct lawyer with the contact info I was given.
There is also a lack of transparency regarding financial status. I did not receive several invoices during my case, so I had no idea my funds were already depleted. When I was asked to pay at the end of the case, I was hit with a surprise bill. The office blames their invoicing system, but it felt like it was done purposely to gain more money.
Makenzie Arnold was absolutely on it from our very first call. Before I even paid a retainer, she jumped on a consultation call, reached out to the opposing attorney to gather more information, and came back to me with a clear picture of what she could do and what it would cost. That kind of initiative right out of the gate told me everything I needed to know.
I hired her, and she and her team were incredibly efficient throughout the entire process. Everything produced was accurate, thorough, and strong.
Makenzie is sharp, quick, and genuinely cares about her clients. I'd recommend her without hesitation.
Morgan Woelke, was incredibly kind, professional, and supportive, patiently guiding me through every step of the process and always making sure I felt informed, confident, and well assisted throughout my case.
Makenzie Arnold is the real deal.
My first attorney left family law 6 months into our complicated custody case. That was scary at first, but turned out to be a gift, because then I hired Makenzie Arnold. Immediately, I knew I was in more capable hands.
I've spent nearly 3 years now with Makenzie by my side and can confirm that every positive review about this woman is 100% accurate.
I wholeheartedly recommend her. She is one of the most authentic human beings I know and easily one of the most competent, badass attorneys in NWA.
Makenzie carries herself with integrity.
She balances compassion and kindness with no-nonsense honesty.
She's well-educated and has a sharp, strategic mind and great sense of humor. She has a good working relationship with her colleagues and is respected by local judges.
Makenzie has excellent communication skills. She consistently responded to my emails in a timely manner, and the vast majority of the time, I dealt directly with her.
She never made me feel like my questions were silly or my concerns unfounded. She took the time to explain what was happening and what it meant for us, every step of the way.
Makenzie is steadfast in her pursuit of justice. She is patient and prepared. Calm and composed. She stayed steady every time I broke down.
She is fierce in the courtroom and the way she fights for her clients makes it evident she truly cares. I never wondered if our family mattered to her. I knew we weren't just a job and I was confident she was giving us her very best the entire time.
The legal field needs more like Makenzie Arnold.
In addition to years of intensive therapy, Makenzie has played an instrumental role in my healing journey as an abuse survivor. She helped me feel brave and powerful at a time when I felt very afraid.
I'm so thankful I trusted her to guide us to a favorable outcome. She will have my respect and gratitude forever for fighting to keep my child safe.
Johnathan is an amazing lawyer. I was new to all this. He was patient and helped me through my situation. I didn’t miss a day of work and he represented me through the whole case.
They don't answer their own phone, outsourcing it to people who can't even tell me if you can handle an S Corp move to Arkansas. "They do a lot of things, like DUIs and divorces" isn't an answer and is irrelevant to my call.
From the very first conversation I had with Carter, I felt supported and confident about my case. He immediately put me at ease with his professionalism and kindness, and I knew I was in capable hands. What stood out most was his responsiveness—every single time I reached out, he got back to me right away without delay. That level of attentiveness made me feel truly cared for throughout the entire process. Carter’s expertise, steady guidance, and dedication ultimately delivered the outcome we had hoped for, and I couldn’t be more grateful. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of an attorney who is not only skilled, but also compassionate and dependable.
If you don't want to wake up every morning thinking about how Ben Catterlin stole $10,000 of your hard earned money, then I would not hire him. Lying to your face about how he would defend you with a strategic defense, but then when you are all paid he changes his tune to align with the prosecution. The prosecutor, whose sole job is to get to the truth, not just prosecute, couldn't even look at me, she was just out to get me not the truth.
The judge, well, that is just another joke. There is no justice folks and there are no sharks in Washington/Benton County's district. This guy told us he was going for a stand your ground defense until 5 days before.the trial, then he laughs and says derisively, we'll it was just a little dog, if you had hit a bigger dog in the pack of dogs attacking you... Of course this was after he took the $10,000. He took both my husband & my case and he didn't even do one thing for my husband. Not even his own consult before the trial. We will be reporting this to the bar association.
If this review stops one dollar from going to this pitiful injustice driving machine. Amen.
Owner response
Ms. Maltese, <br>Im sorry you feel that way about the outcome of your case. Unfortunately, when you stab a 16 year old small, blind dog- place the dog into a sealed container to die and then stab it with a pitchfork repeatedly- the State of Arkansas is going to want you to go to prison. You approached me with a "stand your ground" defense, however that was not available to you given the circumstances of your case. The fact that you are now a free person and not in jail or prison, should tell you how great of an outcome you received in your case. Please enjoy the free air as a daily reminder of the outcome I was able to achieve on your case.
Morgan Woelke helped us with our immigration process. She was great to work with - professional, experienced, and thorough with her work. She went above and beyond to make sure everything flowed smoothly. We recommend working with her and would work with her again.
I want to thank my lawyer Jonathan Faught for taking charge of my case. Excellent service. If I could give 10 stars I would. I had a house for theft of lease property, no driver's license and no insurance, and my lawyer took care of everything. In less than 6 months, my case was resolved. Thank you Jonathan Faught for helping me. Excellent service.
I would not recommend this law firm to anyone at first everything seemed professional and good however. I had a payment agreement set in place and I had to call 3 different times for the fact that they did not want to honor the agreement and tried to charge me on when I wasn’t supposed to be charged and I had to call three different times to get that fixed. not only was there an issue with billing My court date was canceled for the fact that all of the attorneys and judge agreed on everything I wasn’t even able to explain myself I never agreed to anything and then when I emailed my lawyer, I got an email from a different person at the office saying that I’m terminated so they refuse to talk to me. This law firm has very questionable ethics and I would not recommend to anybody
I am updating my review due to serious concerns about Ben's performance on my case. We hired Ben over a year ago on a felony case and paid $5000.00. I've noticed a significant decline in his responsiveness, and it’s concerning especially as trial approaches next month. He has not followed up with the witnesses we provided, and hasn’t told us how he plans to defend in court. Several calls and emails have gone unanswered, leaving us in a troubling situation.
So far, pending waiting to get more information. Will update after trial as well.
Owner response
Adri, we apologize for any communication issues but the reason you have not heard anything is because there is nothing to share. This is very common, we are most likely waiting on the state to give us the information we need. We would have preferred you set up an in person meeting if this was bothering you instead of making a review with little to no information on what’s going on with the process. Please feel free to call and set up that meeting and I’m sure we can figure this out.
