Great company to work with!!!

We did it! Thank you Century Law firm and all staff. Professional, knowledgeable, and courteous people all the way thru the program. Thanks to the program I am debt free and my credit score already climbing.

Went with this company in 2016. We are now dealing with charge offs and the IRS 10 years later! Do not recommend.

I’m giving 3 stars because the company was semi-transparent, and I do think their program may help a small group of people in the right situation. However, I was very clear from the beginning that I did not want to fall behind on any of my accounts, and I was reassured that wouldn’t happen. That turned out to be misleading, because the process ultimately depends on accounts becoming delinquent in order to negotiate settlements. I was also given estimated timelines that were presented with more confidence than they realistically should have been. To be fair, no one can truly guarantee exact settlement timeframes, but I felt many of my questions were answered in a way that was technically correct while still somewhat misleading. I don’t believe this is necessarily a bad company, but I do think consumers need to fully understand that this is debt settlement, not traditional debt consolidation, and there are real risks and consequences involved.

They are the real deal. Great customer service support and are on top of your accounts.

Buyer Beware! These are the kind of lawyers that give the profession a bad name. Success in the program relies upon the firm’s timely and skilled negotiating skills with creditors, which didn’t happen in my case. Approaching the end of the 48-month term, they are demanding an additional 18 months of payment, which would mean I’ll end up paying more than my original debt. Because they didn’t deliver, I and many other desperate debtors (whose reviews you will find at the BBB and Yelp) are at their mercy now. Lawyers are often compared to sharks, but sharks don’t generally prey on humans.

Completed my four year program. However, if I would not have paid additional amount at the end of four years, it would have taken me another 10 months to complete. I am happy with the process, and the overall amount they saved me. Teaira W. was very helpful with the graduation process.

I used Century to settle 2 cards from Chase bank. When I signed up the rep. told me my credit would be hurt while paying on the plan. But, once I paid, everything would be cleared up and my credit would be “great”. He also said Century would clear up any issues that arose from the payment plan. Inferring all along with [I believe] full intent that I was hiring a legal firm to help. At the end of the program when I made my last payment they suggested I enroll in their credit monitoring program for about $1000 a year. Again inferring they would help correct any problems. I didn’t take the bait the second time. Chase reported a charge off about 4 months after I completed the plan. I contacted Century and they asked for documentation. I provided a copy of my credit report I obtained myself. Once I sent them the copy they called me. I thought I might be getting some traction in the matter. NOPE. The rep informed me Chase can report a loss on my credit until 2029. To be clear The Century rep said We don’t fix credit. Despite what the sales rep said/inferred. The rep said Chase can report negatively on your credit. We don’t care/wont help. The sales rep. In an apparent [and successful] attempt to get my signature, reassured me the “Century plan is much better than bankruptcy”. My credit will be dinged for about 7 years when all is done. Beware “Century Law Firm” seems to be a logo rather than a description. I’m still trying to figure out what I paid for besides a very false sense of security.

Don't use! It would have been cheaper to pay the debt myself. They are extending my payments for another year. That will make 5 years of payments. I will end up paying more than what my debt was. Now they have just taken an extra 1,650.00 for service fees. After they had already collected over 12,000 in fees. When the contract i signed said it was a flat rate fee that was paid in the first 16 months. They are liers and crooks. Do not trust them to help you. They are only here to take your money and keep extending the program so you pay more than what you originally owed.
