Hired them to help me with an estate, should have inherited a good amount of money but instead, I now owe over $250,000 in tax debt. Their guidance was lacking to say the least. I often wondered who they were actually representing.
Chalgian and Tripp Law Office was recommend to me by a friend and I am immensely grateful to have found them. Daniel Hilker was very attentive and provided solid defense in my case. Daniel, as well as his team, were extremely knowledgeable, truly skilled and attentive to detail. Daniel was able to explain the process and what to expect in my situation. His compassion and empathy gave me hope in a very bleak situation. His confidence and abilities put me at ease. He is open and willing to listen and communicate with clarity. His guidance is invaluable. I would highly recommend him. He is willing to go the extra mile and truly be the light at the end of the tunnel. Truly grateful for people like him, in this industry.
I have not actually used the services but I wasn't able leave an email with an image from the website.
I wanted to inform you that Sparrow (I received from Sparrow specialty hospital) has completely missed spelled your name and made it very hard to Google you.
Everyone at Chalgian & Tripp was wonderful! They kept me informed every step of the way throughout my case, and wasted no time getting things resolved. Mr. Doug Chalgian and every person who assisted with my case did so with great professionalism and skill, as well as kindness and empathy. And in the end, I was very happy with the resolution we came to.
Dan Hilker from the Lansing location was my attorney. Dan is very thorough, extremely knowledgeable, is an excellent communicator and a hard worker. I highly recommend Dan. He will take care of you and ease your concerns throughout the process.
Very unhappy with trust work they did for my mother. When I wanted to ask a question of the attorney I was informed by the desk clerk the attorney charged 325 an hour to answer a question of work we had already paid for. Would not work with or recommend this firm

To Whom It May Concern:
It has been almost two years since I first reached out to Atty Doug Chalgian for advice about guardianship/conservatorship for my fiancé who was hospitalized with Covid pneumonia. Sadly, during that time, both my mom and fiancé transitioned to heaven within two months of each other. It was a very emotionally challenging time that also included a contested will, probate, and some ill-willed relatives.
Doug was very confident and supportive and later introduced me to Attorney Dan Hilker who quite honestly was a God send. From the moment we began to work toward resolution, Dan dispelled many of the negative pre-conceived complaints about attorneys: neglectful, lack of communication, dishonesty, excessive fees…
Dan instead proved to be the complete polar opposite. He exhibited the utmost in integrity, professionalism, sincerity, communication and compassion. As friends and family journeyed with me through some very turbulent times, they also witnessed how helpful and honest Dan was in every way. So much so, that they have commented that when in need, Dan will be their attorney of choice.
As a mental health therapist by profession, I am fully aware of the power of effective listening. Dan’s patience and willingness to really listen and know his client is remarkable. In addition, I know this is a bonus, but Dan has always tried to respond in a timely manner. This is very much appreciated due to my limited availability in between clients. What could be a stressful game of telephone tag, seems to always flow smoothly as a result of his attentiveness and organizational skills.
I cannot say enough about the wonderful staff at Chalgian and Tripp Law Offices ( Brandy Lowe and Nathanael Meredith) to mention a few. I am so grateful for their efficiency in communication and legal services. As we begin to wind down from quite a rollercoaster-like series of events, I am ever so grateful for having worked with such a caring firm and especially, such a phenomenal human being as Atty Dan Hilker.
Respectfully,
Teresa Traverso
We needed help with getting my moms Trustee removed and replaced. Hired 2 other attorneys prior to hiring Doug Chalgian, and neither of them had the knowledge or expertise we needed. Wish we would have hired Chalgian & Tripp first.
I'm an attorney, but I don't practice estate planning, so I needed some help with some specialized documents for myself. I worked with Susan Chalgian and recommend highly.
Needed advice on Medicaid issues for family seniors. Scheduler took the time to understand our needs and set an appointment with the leading expert within the firm. Consultation was excellent - received information that helped tremendously and the attorney went above and beyond in providing advice and counsel.
