MOST INEXPERIENCED REAL ESTATE LAWYER OF ALL TIME — AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Our lawyer was Kelly Malloy-Pogoda from Cooper Erving & Savage. The selling side of our transaction went fine, but only because selling is straightforward. The buying side, however, was an absolute nightmare.
The seller provided false disclosures and could not produce critical documents required to obtain a mortgage. On top of that, the seller claimed the house was built in 1992, while the appraisal showed it was actually built in the 1970s. Despite these major red flags, Cooper Erving & Savage failed to hold the seller accountable or protect us as buyers.
As a result, the deal collapsed, and we were forced to sell our home and move into a rental while searching for another house. This caused unnecessary financial stress, delays, and emotional frustration.
We expected professional guidance, advocacy, and competence. Instead, we experienced inaction and lack of experience.
We will never use Cooper Erving & Savage again and strongly advise others to avoid this firm..
Carolyn George helped me through the closing process. She helped navigate a few tricky situations and made the process really easy. She was patient and helped me understand each step. Highly Recommend.
Carolyn George was my real estate attorney for a home purchase. I ran into a lot of hurdles with the purchase that were out of my control. She was knowledgable, persistent, fair, and responsive in getting everything squared away.
Carolyn George was our closing attorney for sale with a 1031 exchange. Throughout the entire process she was quick to respond and demonstrated an exemplary level of professionalism and knowledge. We recommend her and plan to use her services again ourselves in the future.
In August , my wife , unfortunately was rear ended at a red light causing her car to be redeemed as unsalvageable and incurring a neck injury. We were afraid of all the negative possible outcomes of her health , long term affects , and events that would follow.
Naive and oblivious to the next steps that should be taken , a close friend recommended Carolyn George at Cooper Erving & Savage. A introductory call was all it took to comfort our concerns. The guidance and advisory Carolyn provided was more than we can ever ask for. We never felt rushed or neglected. She was more than patient and felt her compassion for our situation , working with us to meet our goals.
We highly recommend Cooper Erving & Savage. Thank you Carolyn for your counseling. We never felt alone with you by our side.
