I cannot say enough positive things about Counterpoint Legal. The paralegals and the attorney were so kind and knowledgeable. During one of the most stressful and uncomfortable periods of my life, they provided not only exceptional legal guidance but also genuine support and reassurance every step of the way.
Their team was professional, responsive, and timely in all communications, which gave me confidence and peace of mind throughout the process. They treated both me with compassion, respect, and care, while remaining focused on achieving the best possible outcome.
Thanks to their expertise and dedication, we reached favorable outcomes, and I am incredibly grateful for their advocacy and support. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking knowledgeable, trustworthy professionals who truly care about their clients.
Mr. Ross was an absolute gem during my divorce process. He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and provided excellent guiadnace through eery step. Cannot recommend highly enough.
It is one thing to advocate for a client, it is quite another to coach the client to lie under oath. The firm's (very) junior attorney Jillian Connery lied continually throughout the process (about subpoenas, witnesses, evidence, receipt of process) and brought a case that was easily dismissed by the hearing officer despite the respondent's not being represented by counsel. There is race to the bottom between integrity and competence for this attorney and it speaks poorly of Counterpoint Legal that it has Jillian Connery as an attorney on staff.
Postscript: It appears that Dobbs-Connery is no longer with the firm as she no longer appears on their website. I don't know if the reason for her leaving is an ethical violation along the lines of what she perpetrated against me. I have read a number of 1-star reviews in other places. It still speaks poorly of Counterpoint to have employed her in the first place.
We had Susan Yea from Counterpoint help us with our living trust. She was incredibly responsive, patient, and thorough throughout the entire process — always taking the time to answer all of our questions with care and clarity.
Her professionalism and guidance gave us a strong sense of confidence and peace of mind during something that can often feel overwhelming. Top rated, above and beyond, exceptional service.
I had a 30-minute consultation with Michael Wales and unfortunately found it to be disappointing. He spoke very slowly and didn’t seem interested in advocating for me or understanding my concerns. He made it clear that he was only offering legal opinions, not representation, and came across as dismissive rather than supportive.
During the consultation, he focused more on the opposing party’s points and ignored several of my requests. In a time when I needed guidance and someone to have my back, I didn’t feel I could trust him to do so. I left the meeting feeling more stressed and frustrated than when I arrived.
Overall, this experience left me with a negative impression not just of Michael Wales, but of Counterpoint Legal as a whole. I would not recommend them.
We are so happy with our service by Susan Yea with Counterpoint Legal who updated our trust. She is very organized, reliable, professional and a great communicater! We hope we will never need an attorney again, but if we did, we will definitely request Susan.
Morgan Ross is a fraud.i hired him to handle my CPS case against the county in dependency court after they removed two out of four children from my home.the county was charging me with Munchausen syndrome i paid him over $20,000 to Mr Ross to represent me.i had hundreds of pages of documents from my son's psychiatrist and hospitals to prove my case.Mr Ross did not give the judge any of my evidence that said my son was inpatient in psychiatric hospitals and they kept his diagnosis the same.i lost because he intentionally didn't submit my evidence to the judge.i hired two more attorneys and fired him.he was so upset he didn't want to give me some of my monies back until I threatened him with contacting the bar.guess what? he gave me alot of my money back. With the other two attorney's I won my case against the county of San Diego..i ended up paying a little over $200.000 but it was all well worth it.i now have a lawsuit against them.be careful if you hire him.he was definitely NOT on my side.he gets negative zero stars from me.i had to give atleast one star to post🤮
Susan was just awesome! So knowledgeable and so professional and She guided me through my Estate planning process. I felt so supported by her and her team and she explained the whole process so well! I now feel so at ease knowing that I have all my docs completed! Thank you Susan!!
Susan Yea made the process of setting up our living trust incredibly easy. She explained everything thoroughly and in detail, ensuring we felt confident every step of the way. We highly recommend her!
Rating One Star---a penny tip tells more than no tip at all. My attorney outlined a plan based on my needs; when it came time to execute the plan, she claimed it was unethical and couldn't move forward. What a waste of time and money. Fraudulent billing practices...Do not use Counterpoint Legal.
